I searched online and can’t really see the benefit of getting revered. Is it just to choose which slot I want for my 2nd legendary? Or do we need revered to upgrade it to 291? I’m fine with belt slot and I already got 252 conduits, so kinda curious as to why I should farm the new rep.
If you dont want anything from the vendor, then you don’t need to hit revered. You will eventually. We’ll be here for a year
So I can just complete campaign 7/7 and have double legendary + 4 set bonus? If so that’s pretty nice.
265 vs 291 legendary
You can do your campaign and get legendary belt. The tier is something different.
The belt from the campaign can’t be upgraded.
Yeh but is that extra iLVL worth it for many players? You have to still buy the base item. Man this whole legendary thing has just been crap.
They are 50k ish for 291s on my server.
Not really. Its not a significant increase.
If you raid, yes. Any % damage will help progression, or even M+ KSM players.
Its not worth it for Normal raid. Probably not for Heroic either. Only high keys might it be a difference, but very small. Percentages have been posted. It’s small.
both.
you need revered to select what slot you want to put the unity legendary on, but since you also need revered to craft unity you can’t upgrade to 291 without it.
the free belt can’t be upgraded.
Yes - if you want to be able to craft the unity lego on any slot you need revered, you also need revered to get your unity lego to anything above 265.
Some specs and classes will want unity on stuff like rings/boots or whatever.
The other legendary you want will influence where you want the other pieces and stuff like tier set pieces.
Also you may want to have different secondary stats then the belt that is given to you.
Benefits
- Itemized potential 291 covenant legendary that shifts with your covenant
- Freedom to choose which slot you want said legendary on
- Alts can craft Unity even with no Zerith Mortis progression
Cons
- You actually have to get revered, I guess? Short of literally not playing in the current patch, this will just kinda come with playing the video game
If I want to upgrade my helm to 291 it’s going to cost me at least 130k.
Cheap for some, but for others they don’t even have that spare. You’d be very surprised about how little some people do in this game and how bad some are even with gear.
I just ran a heroic Streets on an alt, trying to get the trinket and sword, some random rogue at 218 iLVL was pulling 3.1K DPS. Meanwhile an M+ premade run I done yesterday had a 250 iLVL BM hunter pulling 2.7K DPS. Sure heroic dungeons give a bonus % damage, but let’s get real here, no iLVL bonus is going to help some people.
Even then 130k isn’t that much.
Then that’s a personal issue for them. It was known to be coming so if people didn’t prepare they only have themselves to blame.
Sure, if I want to buy tokens it’s not that much at all. If I don’t sell things on the AH and don’t buy tokens, it’s a huge amount of money, especially when you consider that we had to pay tens of thousands of gold for each step before it.
It was known to come, but each server has vastly different prices. Some are going for 400K, for the same piece it’s 50K on another server. No one could have predicted the vast difference in prices, I don’t think anyone planned either on having to craft a ton of each level just to gear up, that pushes the prices up because people want to make some money back or they will stop crafting like we have seen people note many times, that it’s just not worth the effort unless you can get something back for it.
The point that 99% of us here keep trying to make is that the leggo system is garbage and honestly they should have not needed the base item, we should have been able to just take the raw materials and got the crafter dude to make the item for us, it would have given a much higher player engagement.
