Play wrath, looking forward to cata, just curious since im like 200 years behind if its even worth getting into, especially if i like pvp.

I would dabble in MoP remix while you wait for Cata.
But I wouldn’t play Retail until TWW.

I’d say try it for yourself, and not let others opinions poison the well. You’ll know if you like it or not after a while.

Oh… well, this is awkward. PVP exists but I don’t think it’s the majority so you might have a hard time.
Retail is in the best spot it’s been in a long time all around and they seem real serious in sticking to the roots of the genre with hero talents launching with TWW prepatch.
M+, and raiding is very accessible. Mythic raiding is basically the golden standard for all MMORPG PvE content if you really want to push yourself.
PvP wise retail is pretty solid. I would check rankings to see what’s meta if you really care about pushing arena rating. Rn Nightelves are meta for almost everything.
Retail has the fairest and easiest gearing pathway for serious PvPers. You can be arena ready in 2 weeks and full BiS in 3 on a fresh 70.
The PvP balance and gameplay is better than Wrath imo, and more in line with CATA-MoP era PvP.
I would say try retail PvP out because it’s very easy to get into.
Cata-MoP was a golden age of WoW PvP for sure though.
Retail is in a very very good spot rn though.

How do u get into the mop remix, those timerunner chars transfer over to retail/TWW right?
When the event goes live, you just pick a retail server and make one and when the event ends they’d transfer over into Retail, yeah.

I think it starts this upcoming week? Pretty sure it was coming with the 10.2.7 patch.
And server won’t matter for raids at all since TWW will allow cross-realm guilds and cross-realm Mythic from day one and from my understanding, PvP didn’t care about realms for a very, very long time on Retail.
Main thing that matters with servers would be crafting work orders and the community itself so low-pop is probably not the best idea to choose even if only for the fewer crafters for Work orders.
Yes it is, but I wouldn’t recommend starting end game content until the 23rd because Season 4 starts then.
And if Dragonflight isn’t for you but you still want to go into TWW a week after 10.2.7 launches MoP remix is live and you can level a bunch of characters to 70 and have great gear to enter TWW with.
Play WoW Standard Edition! You can level alts, run old raids and dungeons.
