Retail GD has gotten so bad, you can’t even make a post critical of ANY non-classic feature like BattlePets, StoreMounts, Tokens, and LevelBoosts. Because you’ll be branded as a Classic shill and elitist.
Not even WoW can kill WoW.
THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!!! Put classic and retail in a ring and make them duke it out Highlander style,
my battlenet would show 1-2 players a day playing BFA. since yesterday there has been 2 dozen constant in classic…

Classic
I think the main hurdle is to realize that all that stuff have to do even if often frustrating or even disappointing makes for a far more engaged game experience.
Right now I think a lot of people are Classic Curious. If some of them stick around in addition to the hardcore Vanilla lovers who may only now be hearing about it, we have a great future for the game.
OH MY GOD YOU PROVIDED A SOURCE. Thanks, Duiin’s sock puppet._
Give me a minute…
Why is he using phrases like “probably fake”, “supposed leak”, “the numbers are an incomplete sample” and “they don’t seem to actually be true”?
And why is WeakAuras stating that the source in question has “disappeared” and stating that there is “zero proof”?
And why is Blizzard claiming these numbers are false despite such a lie being literally illegal and subject to subpoenas in the case of a lawsuit or criminal investigation?
Oh that’s right. Because that data is bogus.
Now if you want to use Belluar’s numbers, you should also probably mention his caveats and expand your uncertainty rather than erroneously stating that the numbers are accurate to within 500k as you did earlier on your other character.
See? We can have an actual discussion about these numbers now that you’ve provided your source.
Now get off of your alt. I can SEE that Legomylass-moon-guard is on the same account as Duiin-moon-guard because muting one stops notifications from both.
Mine shows 30 to 40 in BFA, 3 in classic. What does that prove?
I’m not certain that you can have a preference between something you play and something you didn’t, but BC, with all the baby Draenei and Blood Elves, had elements of vanilla without the instance grind you needed for good gear in vanilla. Rinse and repeat 1hr heroics and currency gear makes progression a different type of grind than the bang-ur-head against the wall grind of finding small improvements to best in slot in Vanilla.
That being said, if you’ve played since BC, you are married to those characters, probably more than the people around you. That’s been the argument, right? That the community isn’t engaging as it was when you had to synergize with 50 people to drop a major raid. I felt that way in Cataclysm. Those of us who played from day 1 saw the good and the bad of Vanilla. Perhaps people are right that rose-colored glasses will come off and we won’t have the tolerance for it the way we had in 2004-2005, where we would sop up any small fix that made the game run a bit better. Many things were improved heading into BC, and Wrath, but they also made it more like pay for play, grind it out. And gradually the game got stale. Or we got older! You should see if your preference changes by trying it out
ya that’s weird cause I’m not him. Moon Guard is a really popular server man but w/e i don’t really have a dog in this fight. Glad I could help you with the source
Pro tip: if you’ve been outed that hard, just don’t respond. At least then most people won’t notice.
Forum muting is account wide. You both got muted, because you’re on the same account. Unless you’re account sharing, you’re backing yourself up with sock puppets.
Weak.
I’ll keep that in mind crazy conspiracy person thanks
Conspiracies require more than one person to be involved, Duiin.
Absolutely true… I’ve played since launch and the game has made MAJOR strides in playability and accessablity. Some of the issues (like talent trees and class design/spec design) are where I think vanilla shined… but the game was a tedious bore to level from 1-60…all MMOs, this game in particular, are build on the idea that END GAME is where the fun is… and if it takes you a month to get to 60, and if you are used to 4 days to max in retail, you’re not going to put up with that kind of grind even if you like classic more than retail.
Oh and another thing I forgot until now. Achievements are account-wide. Even in the armory.
Funny how Legomylass-moon-guard has the same dates on his achievements as Duiin-moon-guard.
Is Retail Dead? Yes.
idk, I haven’t logged into retail at all
They don’t though?
