Is resil or pvp power/defense the solution?

Hate to say it but I feel like we are at that crossroad once more. Given the gearing options in SL

I think the best solution would be to add RESIL or pvp power/defense to each piece.
Otherwise were forced/obligated to do mythics and raids to get decent ilvl.

It would make pvp gear BIS in pvp once more and Wpvp (if you happen to care about it?) and PVE gear BiS for PVE.

Does it mean PVP players cant show up and PVE with it? No but they won’t perform as well.

Does it mean PVE players cant PVP with their gear?? No but they won’t perform as well as someone in full PVP gear.

I personally would much rather see a separate gear system for each instead of PVE gear being BIS in both departments ontop of PVP ilvl starting less of LFR.

That or call it a failure and put us back to legion system

I dread the prospect of having to slam out mythic+ all day, apply to raid groups just to have relevant gear so I can go to arena

That, or WoD gear that scales up in PVP combat. Also in WoD the top end mythic gear scaled down a bit in PVP combat to below top end PVP gear.

Honor gear was fast and easy to get, so the barrier to entry was low for everyone. Conquest gear was not gated by rating, but higher rating meant you got conquest gear faster. PvP gear was earned through PvP and was the best for PVP.

You could use the gear for the other activity, it just wasn’t as strong.

It made so much sense, and was so much fun.

Honestly I thought long and hard about the scaling.

After Blizzards demonstration of their superior knowledge of scaling and mechanics in BFA

I want nothing to do with them and scaling ever again

I should say the “scaling” in WoD, was just that the gear got its ilvl boosted in PVP, and it was written right on the tooltip.

Nothing hidden, no secret sauce.

God I would love no secret sauce.

Here is Blizzard’s write up on how it worked:

I almost want to cry reading this and remembering how great we had it in WoD.
