Is reporting AFK people allowed?

Title - seeing a lot of AFKers in Area 52 which are occupying a seat while 6k people waiting to play. Is this reportable?

Are you afk on the forums right now? Reported.

Sounds like your friends should’ve logged in sooner.

Just AFK-ing in game? No, that’s not reportable. People are allowed to spend their in game as they choose (within the rules of course).

Definitely not reportable.

Just go on about your business, don’t worry about others and you’ll be much happier this way, this also transfers to IRL

Nobody likes a snitch, so don’t be that guy!

You can only report people away in a bg as far as i’m aware.

People need to have bio breaks and/or get refreshments. Not all of us have poop socks ready to go.

AFK reporting really only has a place in instanced content like BGs. If someone wants to just log in to the social hub and inspect transmogs as they run by, that is a totally valid form of content.

Yeah because there totally aren’t people using auto clickers to cast an ability every 5 minutes so they can go to bed/work.

Yep, this is what I’m seeing…

What are you going to report them for - taking a bio break?

You guys don’t remember blizzard did take action a few years back when people were abusing afk system so they would not have to sit in que. I forget what it was you could not be logged out for being afk in raids or something like that so everyone was afking in raids. So if theres a mechanic in place thats being cheated or exploited to keep them logged in when they should have afked offline yes its probably reportable. But if its not something like that its not reportable.

Well that would be considered botting so…bye bye to their account?

you know, other people pay to play too just because your friends are too slow doesnt mean you get to boot people.

heh if only.

the penalty for botting is just a suspension now.

Going in a low level instance where nothing can kill them.
Allowing one mob to hit them and go to work/sleep.
No one else is going to see them, and as long as they are in combat
(being attacked). They wont get booted.
