Do people indulge in PVP in IC (In character) or is it just regular ganking like in pvp servers. I mean do people role play pvp in RP PVP realms ?

I think they gank and then say something like “I have slaineth the heathen of the hills!”

There is regular ganking, but there are also PvP events to further people’s storylines and guilds/groups will hold battles over locations from time to time.

probably a lot more /spit going on as tensions between the faction boils to a head

Yeah, RPPVP servers often have things like that. We had them on WrA back when it first opened and I fully intend on organizing them on BB too.

RPPVP servers are just like PvP servers when it comes to world PvP. The difference is the expectation that if you’re in an RPPVP realm, you’re expected to abide by RP realm rules and be courteous of those partaking in RP events.

You get a mix.
Standard ganking, though RP’ers usually don’t corpse camp.
RP-PvPers will usually also claim a particular town or territory as under their protection and will be particularly responsive to enemy faction members in that area.
RP-PvPers from across faction lines can usually also cooperate to put together RP scenarios that involve PvP over control of territory, resources, etc.
Example 1, everyone can participate in.
Example 2, everyone can participate in.
Example 3, only RPers are invited/informed of the event.

Hopefully the pvp gets better at higher level. For now, the RP-PVP realm seems like a bunch of pve players pretending to want to pvp.
Really not any difference, other than diehard RPers crying when they don’t like your name.
Grob is the true rp-pvp, the other one is just a meh for people needing a low pop server with no que.

The pvp between pvp and rppvp servers is really no different. Only difference is the rp community can get really entitled about alot of things. Mass report random peoples names they dont like, or all rp walking thru towns and get salty with people that pass by, stuff like that. I find it kinda funny sometimes how cringy those guys can get.
