Is playing BM hunter still good?

I’m not here for high mythic+ keys, i just wanna do mythics and get armor and do delves and such. let me know.

Yes, if that’s all you’re doing you should be fine.

If you decide to do m+ its strong in there for s3 as well

1/ Playing what you enjoy playing is always good.

2/ If you are not pushing 12+ keys or Mythic raiding, all spec are viable.

That being said, as it stands now, overall BM is looking pretty decent for season 3.

I MM for raid but it’s always fun going BM for Delves.

I camped a long time for my pets, they’re getting some playtime no matter what.

BM is really strong for solo, the only issue is AoE is still poor for BM.

They designed BM as a Single Target DPS’er.

Many has no clue on how to AoE as BM. Many still thought that with BM, their range weapon is their main weapon. They dont know that their main weapon is their Pet/s.

Multi-dot with barbed shot and you are fine.

Multi-dot barbed shot on different targets and you are fine.

I wrecked in arena on BM for the last couple weeks of the season for the lulz. Loved it. Just need to make sure you break pet snares asap and have good mouse overs for your traps.

That’s why you’re the weakling on M+ AoE. Others burst down and kill all the mobs before your DoT effect make a kill of anything.

And there you have it. LOL

More bleeds, more dire beasts, more dire beasts, more damage.

I is mostly about maxing out dire beast spawns then having BW and KC do the rest.

pETS GO BRRR, AM HAPPEH.

Well…I have a bm hunter at 668 right now and never have done a mythic. Just delves and quests and the like. Never had a problem. Always fun. Haven’t read any notes for .2, but I hope they do not mess it up.

There are 3 strong abilities in talents that give pets aoe tied to other skills.

Beast Within:
Go into a rage, increasing your damage by 30%. Your pet also goes into a rage, causing 50% additional damage for 18 sec. While enraged, the beast does not feel pity or remorse or fear and it cannot be stopped unless killed.

30% increase damage on the Hunter (his range weapon) and 50% additional damage from a Raged Pet. Take NOTE … Pet Damage > Range Weapon Damage. That’s how it is on BM Hunter. Pet is your damage dealer.

Dire Beast occurrence is small. Kill Command is a Single Target Damage of the Pet. Where is the awesome PET AoE???

That’s why many are abysmal with BM Hunter on AoE.

Where is the AoE of BM Hunter?

The answer is BEASTCLEAVE.

Beast Cleave:

After you Multi-Shot, your pet’s melee attacks also strike all other nearby enemy targets for 75% as much for the next 4 sec. Get Beast Within and Spam Multishot to spam Beastcleave. Spam it like there’s no tomorrow. Make sure that the Pet is there. If you Multishot and you have no summoned Pet or your Pet is behind you hitting the unwanted critters, good luck.

That’s BM AoE FYI. Not your Range weapon shots. If you want to have a very Heavy Range Weapon Damage, spec as MM.

Then how do you spec BM Hunter? Choose the stats that buff your PET… Not buff your Range Weapon shots. YOUR PET IS YOUR MAIN WEAPON.

Actually, there is a whole AOE build that does not even use Multi-shot, where you basically using your single target rotation.

Just multi-dot multiple targets using Barbed shot. If you are smart, you use an at mouse macro to apply Barbed Shots to other targets, so you do not lose focus on your primary target or DPS as your pets constantly swap targets…

In fairness, much mor effective with 4 piece set.

And that will always be subpar to a build that uses Multishot on AoE.

define good. it’s still faceroll if that’s wym
