Is pathfinder starting to get old?

And through this passive-aggressive PF nonsense, have managed effectively to remove flight from current content.

This is why I no longer purchase expansion packs or store items. I can’t use the ones I have in current content? Then I don’t buy it. I won’t do Pathfinder, I prefer to set my own agenda for play. This has, incidentally, led to my playing WoW a lot less and other games, a lot more instead.

Pathfinder was never healthy to begin with when they implemented flying to it. I think they did because players would get bored fast if it was accessible at max level, but if the developers provided more content in talent tree, profession weapon routes and etc with bonuses effect plus making flying account wide at purchase. The game won’t be as bad. Pathfinder achievement can stay only to buff flying mount, ground mount and swimming speed not time gating everything. I would fine with the worthy achievement.

You don’t need time gates, delays, layered RNG and removal of player options to keep people online if your game is fun to play. People will naturally gravitate towards the fun.

Sucking the fun out of the game with these psychobabble tricks has worked out really well for Blizzard. Obviously, the burgeoning server pops are an indication of this success. Oh, wait. . .

Yeah I always thought that concept was strange because my server was low for a long time. For it to become medium means more players came or * manually * changed the capacity due to less subs now.

The latter is true. In June of this year, server caps were lowered, making existing servers appear to be more populous. But the world is still a ghost town wherever you go unless you hit an expansion area during peak hours.

Sucking the fun out… that’s Blizzard alright.

The only thing I like about pathfinder is all my L110 toons get fight. That’s it.

Flight shouldn’t even be an issue if they would design content around it like they did in BC.

The 2 part Pathfinder is really old.

If it was just the first part of Pathfinder and then we had flying, that would be okay. But now to have to wait and wait and wait and drag it out more and then have to do a 2nd Pathfinder??? That is too much.

Pathfinder would be ok if it stopped at Pathfinder 1. Limiting flying while everyone experiences that content the first time is ok. The problem is that’s not what’s actually happening. Flying is being limited to gate and extend content. It’s not hard to see why Blizz does it. Designing content for land bound players is easier than for flying players. Content that excludes flying takes longer and will be relevant for more playing time. It’s a time and materials business decision. It has nothing to do with making players earn flying or immerse themselves in the content.

Doesn’t matter if it is getting old or isn’t. It is either this or no flying at all. I prefer flying. So if you don’t like pathfinder then don’t do it. You guys can keep posting all you want (like people keep doing non stop) but not going to change. They said this in WoD when they brought it back that this is how it will be unlocked going forward.

nope it serves a purpose, driving millennial’s insane, enjoy part II

I’ve never really understood the purpose.

By the time they finally have flying in the game, I’m kind of over even wanting it. They also do it so close to the time that the “no flying” end-of-the-expansion-island is in the game, that it renders it kind of moot.

In some ways, it seems like they should just either have it or not have it; The time gating thing is dumb.

pathfinder is just a heavy handed ‘forced’ grind of massive proportions

game did it a certain way for 10 years and then Ion took over and is changing tons of stuff

Ion likes longer grinds and hates rewards without grinds

No, but these complaints are.

I’ve done all of the quests for Horde and Alliance, finished both war campaigns as far as we can go, explored all of the zones on both land masses, and maxed out every faction on both sides. I was done with Pathfinder part 1 over 2 months ago.

How much more appreciation do the developers require?

The issue is that before we could do world end game content with flying which was fun and engaging because I also did gathering, pet battles, and even archaeology while getting to my quest objectives. I also could just pause and enjoy the beautiful view…Jade Forest, so beautiful. Now we have to do world end game to earn it. Without flying, I won’t do the WQ which are so much more scattered then quest hubs in MoP. If I can’t enjoy the world at cap flying while questing I don’t buy the xpac. Not only did Blizz loose my sub but also my purchases.

Or loosing their sub.

You can’t seriously believe that “no flying” can ever or will ever be an option for Blizzard?

LOL.

We players are the recipients of the devs’ petulance, not their ultimatum. Never forget that.

Take away the rep grind, and it would be fantastic, fun, and rewarding imo

Starting to?

Atleast you can fly in draenor and beyond. For a hot minute you were grounded forever.
