its not for you to determine what is fun for others. If you don’t think its fun, simply say so.
Just trying to figure out if the person NEEDS flying to have fun in the new zones. I seriously doubt that is the case and they are just saying it because they don’t have a better argument.
Older than Methuselah’s dentures.
You’re just being habitually passive-aggressive at this point. So many of the Pathfinder apologists retreat into smugness at the thought of other players not enjoying the game as much as they could.
If you don’t like flying, there is an incredibly simple solution for you which does not affect anyone else.
no one needs fun. but it is something that is essential to a games development, progression and its …lastingness? my brain went blank.
Lol apparently player choice on how to level through the content is not a thin anymore. Why should I have to play your way? Im not going force you to fly it’s on you. Why do you want me grounded because you like grounding?
I still think a lot miss core problem. It going to take a year for part two. Then let say for argument sake anther month or two to fly. Then what. the expansion basically over as it got anther 11 months. 11 months of what to do. Most of the fun stuff usually done in first months.
Let keep this line going. The new zone might or might not let you fly. Still missing key thing. You have to do path finder in next expansion. It still does not seem logical to do that to a person who keeps your game going.
The developers have repeatedly said they do not like flying. If you do not like something. A person going to do even thing reasonable not to do that thing they hate.
People here seeing that and latch onto it. I honestly think the people who does not like flying are using it as a excuse. A excuse to make other miserable. There is a reason why is look at some posters. These are people in this world who gain pleasure from your pain. They are usually very arrogant and prideful people. Not key word there. read some post here. Connect your own dots.
The people who want you to feel pain. if it can be no fly, locking races behind a rep or what ever. the minute you say it frustrating. they know they got you. They derive pleasure from it. It not shills or what ever. it just plain on bully being disguised as pro something.
lol it’s possible to not pay them $$$ and just use in game gold to buy tokens
it is not blizzards job to make compromise on things they disagree with. Id rather they took away flyiing than this current system. a person who disagrees with what someone wants will unconsciously do a job that is less skillful and competent. Unless they respect the person/principal they disagree with.
true if buying game. I found a very interesting way to get in game gold and to buy my token once a month. been doing it for several months now. I do not think I have to buy anther game.
Well, while I am not happy with how Pathfinder has been implemented, I do like the idea of Pathfinder. I like that, once I have gotten it, all of my alts will be able to fly from the get go. I have never been one of the rich wow players. I don’t see a point in grinding out more gold than I would logically need (I was only able to scrap up enough gold to buy the transmog yak during Legion), so buying flight for my army of alts was getting expensive (I still have one alt that has not yet been able to come up with enough gold to upgrade her garrison to level 3). I am perfectly happy to save a ton of gold on flight training. I am also very unwilling to pay real money for gold (regardless of whether it comes from Blizzard or a gold scammer).
What I have issues with is the “part 2” business. Starting with Mists (or, perhaps Wrath was the true impetus for my decision), I have absolutely refused to level while grounded more than once. I’ll do it on my first run through, but once is enough. So, since there is a “Part 2” to Pathfinder, I just don’t bother buying expansions anymore. I made a dedicated Pathfinder alt during Legion (human for the rep bonus, since they keep having rep as a major part of Pathfinder). I will do it all on that alt, but I won’t touch any new zones with any of my other alts until they can fly there. If I don’t buy the newest expansion, I don’t have to worry about any of my other alts having to level on the ground, and, by the time I do have access to the new zones, all of Pathfinder will be available to me.
In the mean time, I have tons of old content to keep me occupied. I have recently been doing stuff in Pandaria and Northrend on one alt that hadn’t done a lot in those zones. I’m having fun too. I love being able to roflstomp the mobs I come across.
i liked the gold option better, there were plenty of ways to get gold. but pathfinding options limit the person to questing and exploration. I think that if they should do pathfinding they should rework it for more options, such as paying gold, or even perhaps other ways. Make an option for pvpers, maybe raid effort, heck, time spent in vashjir! (Congrats to those who like vashjir btw) just more options.
heck, even incorporate agency, don’t make achievements a medium for optional immersion and content.
ok let me ask a question. How are they going to gain new customers or keep excising ones. If job not to make them happy? See the problem. I ran a moderate company. Sold it for nice profit. See the problem I did that no way you can verify it. same way with a company. they can only verify it is with loss of revenue. guess what been happening? They losing revenue.
I am a returner myself who just came back to wow this year, and yes
I hated pathfinder with passion and used to protest against it on the forum quite a lot. But no matter how much I talked about it on the forum, nothing had changed for months so I decided to go ahead and just do it. As it turned out, it was the best WOW experience for me. I finished the Legion pathfinder and currently working on the WOD pathfinder, the expansion that I totally missed.
As I followed through the achievement, I was able to experience the contents that I missed, the new game designs and concepts for that expansion and was able to understand how legion came to be the way it came to be, how they relate to each other. To me, WOD looked like the prototype Legion, the mission table, pathfinder achievement, treasure boxes, the quest designs…etc.
It is so interesting to play each expansion and see how the game of WOW evolved and trace back the thoughts that went into each expansion. I played the vanilla, BC, WOTLK, Cata, MOP but all the time I played, honestly, I was like always rushing to level up faster.
So even though I played a lot, I think I skipped a lot of zones and quests, just always focusing on the end game content pretty much.
But now I am planning on leveling several alts to do them all.
Call me crazy if you want. but I am going for LOREMASTER WOW now. Loremaster of all of vanilla, BC, WOTLK, MOP both the horde and the alliance.
how is a company going to keep existing customers or gain new ones if the job doesn’t make them happy?
I don’t know anything about job management or marketing. But i do know its human nature to dispise doing things they don’t want to do unless there is respect unto the cause or the person asking or even their own work ethics/personal pride.
Actaully nothing wrong with that. As long you do not force it on others. which some poster are doing for reason I sated.
I will stress this if having gold problem in game. there are tons of way to make gold and make enough for a token and not touch ah. Do raids. they fast, efficient and net you a small amount. Do them every week just like three and you can afford stuff in game. I spend just two hours a week doing ones I have set on. get enough to do this. I found this out by doing pathfinder. Which I do not mind if done reasonably. First 5 months make sense . after that it does not.
awesome! im glad you enjoy it!
Yup that was my answer. People despise path finder. Dev may hate something. in the end they being paid to produce a product that sales. if something in product goes against there beliefs. then why they still with a company. a company that say do this. they did it and not happy. I can not say why. But I have left a job based on my principles and core reason I own my business.
sorry type os. tied getting ready for work.
im glad you had the courage to leave something you disagreed with. lots of people are not strong enough or are not brave enough to do that.
have a good day at work!
World PVPers are bot farmers are against flying. They only use ‘immersion’ as an excuse to hide their motives.
