I know it’s terrible, but Blizzard is buffing our Mastery with a flat 20% (even though it’s still physical damage diminished by armor).
Is it worth maybe having a piece or two with Mastery, or is it still total garbage?

Still a dead stat that you’re going to want to avoid going into TWW though with how the spec is you might as well avoid Outlaw entirely. To give you a real answer stat prio is basically going to be Haste until ADR breakpoint > Vers > Crit > Mastery.
There’s going to be a few exceptions because of the stats on gear for TWW S1 though so for example there’s a “Very Rare” neck drop from the raid that has a stupid amount of Haste / low mastery that’s going to be our BIS and probably a required piece for the spec to function since being able to craft items is super timegated. Good luck convincing your guild to give it to the worst spec in the game though when its nearly every casters bis stats on a reduced drop rate item
The Adrenaline Rush change completely screwed the spec and made a dead stat 100% mandatory for the spec to even work at all since haste is required to reduce our GCD during ADR to what it is currently on retail. Well… until the patch comes out today anyways.
It’s not garbage in AOE. It’s vastly better than haste if you’re an M+ player. Doesn’t over take vers and crit but don’t avoid it either if you want good aoe damage.
If you play KiR haste has a lot less value than HO also.
My main concern with Outlaw outside of the obvious flaws like energy, mastery, Kspree/AR are the choice nodes.
I think Outlaw’s tree is oriented pretty well at the start but as you descend down the tree is starts to become a jumbled mess.
Sleight of Hand should be merged with Loaded Dice if Loaded Dice isn’t going to be baseline.
Personally I think either Count the Odds OR Loaded Dice should be baseline.
Fan the Hammer is pretty integral for how the spec plays but to add some variety maybe having a talent called Improved Opportunity which makes Sinister Strike second strike increase another 10 to 15% as suggested.
That way you have one side of the tree focused on Pistol Shot, the other on Ambush and the tree node down the middle on improving Sinister Strike.
Keep it rolling CD is too long for a capstone. Should be down to 5 minutes at least.
And if Ghostly Strike is going to be a cap stone its CD should be reduced from 1.5 minutes to at least 45 seconds.
Greenskin Wickers needs to have some of its potency returned as well if it is going to be a cap stone talent too.
Swift Slasher talent should give mastery bonus in addition to its current effects.
MG procs should bypass armor which might be doable.
mastery isn’t TOO bad if you stacked right. But it could be better if they added some better stuff to Outlaw’s kit. Gauche contributes to DPS quite a bit IMO.
Are you intentionally trolling lmao. With decent rng you can literally get back to ghostly strike with the PREVIOUS one still on the target. You clearly dont play the most recent iteration of outlaw and should probably refrain from offering feedback with no merit.
Mastery would be fine if they scaled it earn more per point again of rating.
So long as the Outlaw Rogue’s attacks can be blocked, dodged, or parried, the value of Outlaw’s Mastery is diminished by quite a bit. It also doesn’t help that armor penetration is something Outlaw lacks too.
Armour pen should have always been outlaws mastery
Fight me over it
Agreed. Subs mastery scales a ton and that’s just raw damage increase, so im surprised they don’t make Outlaws mastery as good as Assassination or Sub in terms of scaling power.
mastery and haste are not dead stats because you gain damage from it.
Dont look at gear stats too much, just sim
Yeah I agree.
Sub and Assassination are capable of 70% mastery easy no problem. For Outlaw you have to really work hard to reach that much mastery. The last time the spec dabbled with that much mastery has been a long time that I have forgotten.
WoD PVP? It was that long ago and that was with Combat spec and not Outlaw.
