Is outlaw weak or feral just op (PVP)

Because it felt pretty one sided this morning in pvp

Yeah both. it’s disappointing because outlaw was fun for pvp during dragonflight. Play outlaw in TWW and enjoy subpar DPS, boring rotation, and poor survivability. I don’t want to run + reset on outlaw in PVP, if I have to run away regardless of spec, I’ll just play either of the other two specs and have an easier time.

Outlaw is a spec that is highly dependent on setting up CC. The damage should always be below other melee, otherwise the spec would be broken because it can spam triple stun the enemy team off DR. There are several outlaw rogues in the top 100 in both 3v3 and shuffle. Feral is definitely overpowered though.

I definitely feel like a supporting CC spec and nothing more. I’d rather play sub for that, since it has a bunch of other benefits too. As a casual pvper, I had so many fun and long drawn out scuffles on leechy outlaw builds during dragonflight. I felt like I was playing a healer because I could outlast DPS specs alone, perfect for guarding objectives.

For whatever reason Outlaw in PVP is ranked higher by supatease for solo shuffle.

But according to Drustvar Outlaw is starting to become popular.

But yes Feral is strong right and a little bit OP.

Edit: Outlaw is absurdly more popular in EU than US.

Im winning games as outlaw right now in rated bgs, but I think its more the rogue toolkit winning it for me and less so being outlaw. I’d probably be a bit more help to the team as assassin or subt honestly. Shame cause I like outlaw in theory

In RBGs the low CD on Blind might be an edge for Outlaw. But for RBGs I think Sub can cap bases better and Assassination has better spread pressure.

I smoke ferals.

Outlaw with CloS PVP talent, lower Blind CD and Float like a Butterfly hard counters Ferals. I mean back in the old days Combat Rogue had 2 minute Evasion, Riposte, Nerves of Steel and higher dodge chance which hard countered Bear tank flag carriers and Druids. Only Sub Rogues came close due to high agility aka high dodge and Prep with second Evasion.

If a Bear flag tank carrier was dumb enough to let a Combat Rogue put up a five point Rupture, Expose Armor and SND with a full stun lock it was lights out for the Bear tank.

Or just play trickster and one shot them.

I’m so confused by this post. I just started learning outlaw for the first time and I am having so much fun and feel so powerful. I am currently still trying to finish my conquest cap and still have a few greens, but already at 1950cr in solo shuffle going 5-1 in my last lobby. I am out-dpsing pretty much every spec.

I am playing a super high versatility trickster build, I think I have only died 2 times out of hundreds of rounds played. So many vanishes that also heal for 30%hp, and pretty much permanent 20% damage reduction with feint makes me a terrible kill target. I saw outlaw ranked in S tier for 3v3 on a couple different websites.

I have never really played outlaw before this patch but I am now absolutely addicted to it. I tried to pick it up in DF but really hated it because it had way too much going on. But the removal of shadow dance and shadow step made it feel so much cleaner to play for me.

Putting feint off gcd was HUGE

Quiet down… Trickster is flying under the radar.

Lmao yeah I can tell… The fact that a total outlaw noob like me can pick it up and perform so well on it with only 2 weeks of practice is probably not intended. I never even tried the normal Fatebound build, when I was gearing I decided to copy the build of Vancleef on the solo shuffle leaderboard because Trickster looked much more interesting to me. I’m pretty sure this build is ridiculously strong but there are very few tricksters on the leaderboard for some reason?
