Is outlaw fun?

Just thinking to play one but I see alot of negative reviews about its gameplay

The gameplay is fun, but the reward for the effort you put in to make the class function is not worth. There are nuances in the rotation that can let you squeeze extra DPS out. If you want easy Carpal Tunnel Syndrome pretty early, this is the specialization to play.

The rotation sucks. It depends heavily on RNG and you can’t use the vanish DPS cooldown without someone else around to catch the aggro, but you can use cool looking swords and jump from anywhere and land safely with grappling hook. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

And you get giant dice. Those are cool, right?

Yep, very fun. Easy to pick up but a lot of things to think about and learn when wanting to perform well.

It’s a lot of go go go and keeping up buffs.

Imagine doing a sprint while you’re spinning plates. Gonna be baller but hot damn is that tricky to pull off.

Do you like keeping slice and dice up?

Imagine if you had to keep FOUR slice and dice up to do any damage!!!

Anyway, that’s how it feels to me… Bunch of maintenance buffs before you can do anything.

You don’t any more though o.O

I think he’s talking about Roll the Bones, Between the Eyes, Blade Flurry, and probably Slice and Dice as well even though that one is technically passive now.

Blade Flurry should be a press and leave on ability rather than a cooldown maintenance. It’s very annoying and feels unintuitive to have to keep a buff up to AoE.

I can’t do damage, I’m still preparing to do damage…….what do you mean it’s already dead?

If they insist on the target cap than putting a CD on Blade Flurry is not a good idea. Nice experiment but not a fan of it.

Might as well go back to the WoD version with an energy penalty if you leave it on.

They might by accident buff Outlaw Energy regen as a result so that is a net positive lol.

High skill ceiling and a LOT of apm.

I personally wish that they would turn away from the current rotation which is pretty much spam everything until Vanish is off of CD at which point u BtE as many times as u can before the subterfuge window disappears. Feel like that would help steer the spec into a more optimal place for balancing because it’s just really rng dependent on what u can get to proc during that window.

Not saying to do with the rng element completely since that’s what makes it fun, but once u get the rotation down it can be pretty repetitive. Just glad that my favorite melee ability in the game (Killing Spree) is viable again. They could shift focus away from BtE spam and give more love to some of the spenders.
