Im curious, because with the buffs to bloodthirst, it feels like it hits like a wet noodle. The 3 slaughtering strike stacks help a buffed thane rampage, but it seems like it needs a little love. I love the idea, but it just seems like a weak execute as it doesnt hit as hard. Ive made a few builds that simmed close to a normal thane build, but I feel like if it was buffed by 100 or 200k damage it may get some more use. Anyone currently using it in any of their builds?
We currently do not use it in any build.
I figured, but was curious if anyone tried it and had some build I could take a look at. Crazy enough, I took out ravager for it and the sim was kind of close in a few different types of fights for Thane. Lower, but close. Would be nice if it hit as hard as a crushing blow or a bloodbath.
It does need some love, while it gains 3 Slaughtering strikes if you have it a lot of our newer bonuses from TWW don’t interact with it at all.
It’s poop. Best to put your points in vicious contempt and hit for 4 mil bloodbathecutes.
I recently timed a 14 CoT with an onslaught build. Kind of a meme build but you can take a point off of hack and slash and run two points of vicious contempt. No Odyn’s fury. With higher crit the build can be really good. Can also be really bad, but it has the highest single target potential IMO. I did 1.6 M single target dps to 3rd boss of CoT with it. The boss take increased physical damage but thats still an absurd amount. I was hitting 4 Mil BBs
Yep, thane has those bonuses to bloodthirst and rampage, makes the rotation no brainer since you basically hit bt everytime you can, raging blow increases the crit chance so you could probably get away with lower crit on your gear.
Oh wow, I am going to have to mess around with that! Using it in a 14 is no joke!
