Nomi wasn’t even in Dalaran at the time. He heard there was an opening for a new Firelord and left before Dalaran teleported!

If he dies he will just return to the Firelands from whence he came, before he’s restored & returned to the physical plane to burn more things.

He was a non-canonically a Firelord, on the DF test realms lol. Actually, he still seems to be as of TWW, on the test realms- I guess he’s alive then! If he’s still being used, even as a test NPC.
In Hearthstone, if your deck is empty, he summons six 6/6 Greasefire Elementals, lol.
I hope he comes back as some sort of corrupted end-of-delve boss or something.

I don’t think Nomi came with us back to Dalaran, he’s likely still in Valdrakken or wandered off somewhere else.
That said, Toddy Whiskers was with the Explorers before the city exploded, and I think she’s the only one from that crew who hasn’t been accounted for in any quest or WQ yet. She might be dead.

When I did the intro scenario the first thig I did was go looking for those kids I saw running around playing all the time.
I even asked in chat a few times “were are the kids?”
believe me, I wiped everything near the area were they played and checked every structure for them.
I tell myself Khadgar teleported them with a security detail first cuz I never found them.

Yeah, it’s pretty hilarious (and tragic) how many NPCs are missing.
We only rescued a handful, if even that.
I did like how some Violet Hold folks escaped, that’s always a good time. (According to the lore of that place, ‘No one has ever escaped’. Until now I guess hah)
