Great question. I think pushing is super fun if you have people to do it with. Pugging sucks at all levels, albeit for different reasons. It’s a different kind of fun plowing through 10’s or 12’s. There’s room for both.
Mythic + is very fun and I would push higher if i didn’t have to spend hours in the queue between actually playing the game.
It’d be neat if Blizzard could figure out how to make tanking more approachable, so more people play that role. The tank drought right now is my only complaint with the current season as a whole.

It’s not just about approachability, it’s also simply the difference in number of tanks required between raids and dungeons that is the issue. People mostly like to play the same role in both, but you need twice as many tanks for dungeons as you do for raids.
I really don’t miss the old affixes. Now I can focus on interrupts, stuns and other dungeon-specific mechanics without being chased by tornados or having to cleanse, cc or be chased by ghosts.
That and they can make the dungeons more difficult as a result which I enjoy but unfortunately this isn’t a commonly shared sentiment
As of right now 10/16/25, its very difficult to push 3k, I’ve been in more abandon keys as of late its not even funny.

It’s very easy to do 12s. Doubt player quality plummets at 13s.

Didn’t even see a key in 10-12 range posted for in the 3 hours I was logged in today. Hard to push anything when nobody is playing. My entire guild is playing remix and I’m sure I’m not alone in that regard.

Resil 12 is top 16.5% of the player base. Roughly 2900 ish IO. 3k IO is top 13.4% of the player base. Resil 13 is 9.5% not only does quality plummet its a pretty hard wall. It drops to 4.6% for 14’s and 2.3% at 15.
Good DPS is the key in 13’s.
Are you playing at ghost hours?

My vault keys (which included 12s) have a 100% success rate this week.
12’s are not hard at all, 13’s is where you will start seeing more abandons. I personally don’t feel 13’s are that hard what I am saying is DPS has to be on point, if the tank can survive the big “first pulls” most the time you are good to go unless DPS is bad, not bad in terms of number bad in terms of overall.
My 16s have been easier than even 13s lol.

Actual dps being a failure condition is crazy though because people have so much more gear now.
You are making a good point that proves mine ha 16’s are likely easier because to get to 16s you need to be top 1-2%. Your pool of players is higher quality.
13’s is full of people (in the 26%-33% range) who got a 2 chested 11 or 3 chested 10 because they invited someone with 3k to 3300 IO for their vault/crest farm key. I did a 3 chest EDA on my DK last week the guy who had the key was sub 2500 IO, now all the sudden he has a 13 Halls or whatever it turned into, he is going to list that key not interrupt the hound master and wipe on the first pull.
When I was doing 13s, it was prob top 1-2% (like…5 weeks ago?)
I did my fist 13 5 weeks ago and first 14 3 weeks ago I would not consider myself top 1% - 2% by any stretch but yes if you were doing 13/14 4-5 weeks ago that is the population who is doing 16’s+ now. Though they will hit a wall around 17/18 when it hits top 0.10% - 0.40%-
My group went a different direction around 4-5 week ago and I have not reestablished yet but I would guess my skill level is in the 15 / easy 16 range with a good group.
