They gave you delves.
I’ve never seen you people complain more about m+ than when blizz gave you delves.
Lolllll
Hey what did you do today?
Grim 12
Okay you been on for 6h … What else ?
Nah, Grim 12
bingo. this is already happening. i can’t imagine wanting to pug if there’s a 50% chance the person listing a +10 key is doing half the damage they should be doing and doesn’t have kicks or defensives bound at all. yes, this happens now, but it happens less than it would if people could just keep failing their way into ever-higher keys!
then stop paying for it and/or make your own game. the developer’s job isn’t to make their game into whatever you want it to be.
This comment gotta be bait.
You should look for discord M+ communities. There are a metric butt ton of them out there for every level of key you could imagine. Warcraft Made Easy is one of the first that comes to mind. If you join them and find it’s not for you, try another.
Meh, I lower my keys all the time. I’m sitting on a 6 right now that I’m going to drop to 4 on my tank because I’m not sure I can tank it and I also just pick whoever applies first(besides hunters). Same story with my healer, got a 6 DB that I would be sketchy to heal so I’m gonna drop it to a 4 and roll the dice.
I also try to put something in the listing so people know not to expect much when the key gets activated. I will still do the best I can but my route, pull size, positioning, etc won’t be “perfect” and if I’m healing, your health bar may look like a barren desert at times but I’ll do my best to keep us alive.
In the past seasons that I’ve ran M+ I just did DPS and applied to everyone else’s key, now I’m strictly using mine because of tank/heals and don’t want to be that guy who bricks your key.
I kinda agree with you but you need a better solution to replace the whole downgrade key system when failing to time it.
I think the whole M+ system would need to be reworked, it’s not that simple.
right, but lots of people won’t, because lots of people are oblivious to their actual skill level. they’ll brick key after key, blaming somebody else every time until they finally luck into a group that can carry them through it.
You’re probably right. I may be more self-aware of how awful I am than your average WoWer. I think my attitude towards it really changed when I switched from straight DPS this season with tanks and heals being “harder” to come by.
I like the suggestion a lot of other players have made: get rid of the keys completely and use the Torghast/delve system. That way you can pick the level, depending on what you’ve cleared and can just farm the dungeons you want.
Thats all fine and good…in an organized group, there is 0 time to do any kind strat planning mid dungeon with the current M+ iteration, and lets be real, most people are not playing in organized groups.
Whether it’s a PUG group that doesn’t speak a word, an MDI team that spends hours perfecting every pull, or a team at any level in between, there is still strategy dictated by the timer. Triple pulling to start and lusting. Saving big cooldowns for the first boss. Skipping a particularly nasty pack. Even when these strategies become the meta simply because players copy what a previous team did, there are still decisions dictated by the fact that there is a timer.
Like I said, it’s cool that you want an untimed dungeon mode. But it is a different experience from how M+ exists today, even for the most uncoordinated of PUG groups.
I love the punishment and how m+ works, its like RL, if you want it bad enough, practice, figure it out, repetition matters.
What really is wrong and it’s more transparent in pvp, player community is toxic as hell. If you are not part of a guild or community, pugging is just plain toxic and not fun.
