Or is it too dated?
Beats WoW atm. I’m running around and beating things for all their fatigue with my fists in a single strike, then one-shotting them, and with unarmored and luck so high that nothing can touch me - in my underwear. So, I mean… don’t let your memes be dreams?
I’d get some solid mods for it, but otherwise it’s still a great game. Spent a lotta time in Morrowind.
Morrowind is my all time favourite game. Hit up Nexusmods, pickup Morrowind Rebirth and follow a guide to update the graphics and voila. You’ve got one of the best RPG experiences you will ever have on your hands.
Alternatively Skywind will be coming out one of these days… Which is a community remake of Morrowind in Skyrim’s engine. It’s phenomenal but isn’t released to the public yet.
You guys and your off topic threads. How hard is it to post in the other forum?
Every ES game is fun when you look at it for what it is and go through it. I just re-purchased Oblivion after not having played it since the Xbox 360 days and I had a lot of fun playing it for my girlfriend. We laughed for a good couple of hours going through the initial gameplay sequences while I was figuring everything out again.
It’s a good game but has some bugs to watch out for.
The dated part is kinda up to the person.
For me it’s one of the best games ever made and I can still play it today.
It is a good game.
However it becomes broken once you get the ability to raid Daedric shrines.
Once you’ve done that you can buy your way into being a god.
Head to Dren Plantation at level 1 and murder everyone with cheese…
You’ll come out of the experience practically a god already.
It not really my stuff, i enjoye ssomaspects of it, But a lot people that i suposse are smarter than me like it a lot. And say its good
check sseth video on morr beforehand.
It was stellar when it came out but some of the mechanics are horribly dated now, especially after playing Oblivion and Skyrim.
If you can put up with the graphics and the archaic combat (Beware the screech-squabble of cliff racers) it is well worth playing, but only buy it if it is on sale just to be sure. There are novels upon novels of lore in the super-massive “Read two pages of dialogue per option” conversations.
You really have to specialize how your character is going to play though, you can’t casually be the best at everything, although it is possible to branch out little by little when you start reaching the caps in your major and minor skills, but by that point you’re probably nearing immortality anyways.
For its time. It’s dated now, but if you can overlook graphics and a stiff ui, there is fun to be had.
This right here. The game doesn’t need to be dated if you don’t want it to be. There are also tons of other mods to check out as well, though I would advise against getting them right away. Play the game and experience it, then change things to suit your preferences later.
