So…was gifted ME Legendary addition recently but the last time I played ME years ago I couldn’t get past 1 because of how boring it is. Fans of the game have always told me 2 and 3 is when the game is good. Is it really worth powering past 1 to get to 2 and 3. Is the experience that good? Looking for a consensus.
Personal opinion is that 1 told a much better story, but 2 and 3 were better games - right up until the last few minutes, anyway. In some ways it’s just that 1 offered a bit too much freedom in some areas which lead to large periods where you were kinda just mooching around rather than doing something, where 2 and 3 more streamlined the experience and turned it into more of a generic 3PS.
From a straight gameplay perspective you could probably skip the first one. But there are a lot of story elements which link back to it.
The journey was much better than the destination.
