Is m+ for range classes?

after running several M+ i wonder if this was a push to move players for range classes?

all the mechanics are 100 pools of damage around the enemy, so constantly having to walk away from the enemies or the boss, loop around finding a way to go back in to keep doing dps… maybe i should just do range and pew pew relaxing and see the dps go up…

as an interesting note as a DH i just have 1 or 2 skills to channel on a big CD, eyebeam and fel barrage that i get interrupted All the time.

don’t you guys fell that?

M+ is for toxic mouth breathers who enjoy doing the same content over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again so they can get a mount.

If you’re a relatively normal / sane person, you should probably steer clear.

M+ is for mookies and that’s good enough for me.

I’ve KSM’d as Enhance and as Resto druid, and it’s mostly just patience and practice. Don’t blame others if you’re having trouble staying out of mechanics. Are mechanics harder for ranged or melee fight per fight, sure. But you just got to practice, and well get good. KSM isn’t very difficult, it’s just tedious.

i find melee much more fun to play in keys than any caster :person_shrugging:

It’s less than amazing for ranged with cast times too. It can feel like it’s directly at odds with how your class works which gets frustrating quick.

maybe for BM hunter but for casters its just as bad if not worse

I’m just glad someone else recognizes this

Triple melee feels pretty horrific in a lot of instances.

Warlock is amazing and playing without one feels devastating.

What awkward said 100%

So many more melee to range ratio.

I was just talking about this with my group. There are a couple of dungeon that actively have mechanics that work better with range, but because there are so many area of denial abilities in dungeons and mandatory kicks, 2-3 melee is the meta and likely will continue to be.

You just can’t catch DH/Rogues as any ranged right now. Every single dungeon is Shrine of the Storm. RLP is especially egregious, with several packs having mobs that will spam a bolt that hits for 150-200k, flame dancers that can quite literally one shot the party if not stunned (their attack isn’t even kickable).

Also, remember, it’s week one. Nobody has figured out if standing in some random chair lets you have a few seconds of cast time. Everyone is flying by the seat of their pants, and that fits melee better, because they can do their entire rotation while moving.

No I’d rather have a melee cleave than range DPS. Melee do more damage, have better kicks and stuns, and don’t DPS from Narnia and wonder why they aren’t getting any heals.

It sucks for everyone but BM hunters (and they got the short end of the tuning stick).

No, we get destroyed by unavoidable raidwide damage and casts, all the time.
Trust me, im a hunter, i feel the pain of every cast and RW dmg tick, more than any other class.

Ah, trust me I know (former hunter main here)
I was talking solely about uptime/area denial.

All the meta classes are melee, lmfao.
rogues monks and dhs are destroying higher keys.

If you’re good at the hokey pokey it’s honestly not terrible as a melee imo.
Put your strafe keys on a comfy keybind, you’re gonna need it.

Yeah, never being able to stand and cast for more than 3 seconds is getting very annoying.
