Is Legion "Remix" really just a subtle attempt to launch a style of Legion Classic?

I’ve thought about this for a moment now; at current scaling levels, it looks like the devs don’t want us to ever be able to stop progging legion content- heroics dungeons do mythic lvl damage to tanks, players have pitiful dps compared to health, but “Oh don’t worry, you can grow your power infinitely!” at… the rate of 500 more damage per 10k power? A likely equivalent of legion when it was retail?

Now, I never got to play legion as retail, but IIRC, collecting infinite power was just as much a thing then. But… that was Retail, it was expected. Are we now expected to run through this remix as a full content rehash until the last month when we Finally get enough buffs to start solo’ing heroic content?

Legion is arguably my favorite expansion, and even I don’t approve of how they are handling remix. Sure, I’d love to play Legion again someday in it’s original form, but for this, I want remix, not actual Legion.

I was so hyped for this, even more so than Midnight (also hyped for), but now it’s reversed unless they change direction and go back to how remix is supposed to be.

as someone who played legion when it originally came out, you are weaker on legion remix then you were on legion retail lol which is insane.

100% true… It needs some MAJOR buffs to character progression to make this feel like a fun event.

To me it seems more as if they thought, for some unfathomable reason, that people would want to play Legion with some Diablo 4 nonsense thrown in instead of an actual Legion Remix…

Some of the systems and of course all the cosmetic items available for bronze fit a limited-time late-season one-off fun distraction game mode.

Instead the the abysmal power gains and tuning though make it worse than retail - some sort of Legion Retail +.

Also there is 100% chance they plan to buff everything as the phases drop (this is Blizzard’s go to play book for everything, see ‘Turbo Boost’ buffing progression in retail mid-season).

As it stands today, I plan to wait until the last week few weeks, and then do just enough to get what I want.

It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if some of, or the majority of, the people in charge of Legion Remix are actually from the Diablo 4 team and they’re thinking “Well it works in Diablo 4, and people like it… so why wouldn’t they like it here?” - Which, is obviously, even from me who’s not a game designer… a horrible decision.

And I wonder who signed off on letting this retain the “Remix” title, even though we will be no where close to the power levels and fun that MoP Remix had.

Instead of replaying Legion with unfettered power and getting to re-experience it in a new fun way… We’re getting this version of Legion that plays more like a retail version than anything. I don’t get the crazy power vibes, it doesn’t invoke fun to me. Instead of doing what I did with MoP remix and try to get every last item because it was fun for me to play… I’ll now definitely only focus on getting the few items I truly want and hate doing the group content I will have to do in order to get the most amount of Bronze.

If Legion “Remix” stays the way it currently is right now… it’s not going to be the fun exciting game mode that MoP Remix was. At all. and I am now, not looking forward to it coming out at all.
