In beta there was no official global LFG channel, though I think they should add one since the unofficial channels can be messed with by the channel owner. People joined world mostly. There was also an unofficial LFG channel, but nobody seemed to use it compared to world.
Personally hoping an addon like https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/classiclfg continues to work since chat spam is outdated and trying to herd everyone into a channel so you’re not limited to city or zone specific chats is ridiculous.
Because the vast majority of significant Beta streamers were private server players.
The Vanilla experience is trade chat

I really am not into the whole LooingForGroup thing and prefer to use the bathroom alone. If you’re into that though I’m not going to shame you.

checked it out for anyone interested /join LookingForGroup chat channel is in Classic. Great way to help form groups when you’re outside of cities.

/LookingForGroup exists in classic on the test realms. No need to fart up other topic specific channels.
