Even if I needed the loot to use it’d still be toxic to the people who didn’t win it.

There’s no penalty for rolling need on loot I’m eligible for in LFR other than some hurt feelings, and I’m not going to care about hurt feelings of randoms I never met before today and likely will never see again after today.

How about the groups of people rolling need to share it with one person? Your democratic approach fails you.
People can try to do that, sure.
And if that happens, it happens. I lost loot. I’m going to shrug and move on. Not throw a tanty because someone else got loot instead of me.
Why even participate in content in which you get no loot? “Wow, I enjoy these mechanics and like the pixels. I hope I never get loot from here!”

People have been hunting mogs in LFR for YEARS and YEARS now. I don’t understand why this “new” loot system is throwing people for some big loop here.
Under group loot, someone rolls need for a piece they need/want.
Under personal loot, someone rolled need for a piece they need/want simply by queue’ing for LFR in the first place.
It’s the SAME THING.

ya’ll need to stop and think about what would happen to LFR if they prevented people from rolling on transmog.
you’ll have LFR groups full of potatoes who undergear it.

If I roll for the loot then obviously I want it, and I’ll come back again next week for another chance at that loot.

Yes. Please continue running the same thing over and over and have the loot “fixed” so you never gain anything. The odds are even lower if people have your view.

So no, don’t open tickets about it. Instead go into the support portal and go to the bug report/submit feedback section, then give them feedback directly there.
No one’s time is wasted and your feedback goes straight to the developers.
I’m doing a bit of a little experiment with numbers. I entered 3 different LFR’s that I quit on arrival, but not before I calculated by odds of getting gear if everyone hit need. First raid 10 players shared my gear type. Next raid 9, and the next 10 again. This average out that if a piece of gear drops which is already probably a 10% chance, then there’d be 10 people most likely rolling need. So, really, why would I waste my time? LFR is trash, and Blizz seemingly supported it being so. I’m not wasting my time for OK transmog that’ll likely take 100’s of hours to attain.
Nah. If anything it’s wrong to need on loot for anything other than xmog.
Ilvl is temporary and gained in multiple other ways. Transmog is forever.
