I am not sure if it’s the same for conquest gear as I haven’t done ranked yet this season but I noticed when you upgrade the honor gear it only shows it as upgrading the out of pvp ilvl, not the scaling pvp ilvl. Is it worth upgrading?
Upgrading is only for PvE.
And no… honor gear is not worth upgrading. You can easily get better PvE gear doing the standard campaign quests and the new LFR raid.

I’m doing this specifically for pvp, I need the pvp gear ilvl which is 437 for honor gear. This hunter has been raiding regularly and hasn’t even hit 430 yet.
Honor gear is automatically ilvl 437 when you zone into pvp instances. No need to upgrade it, honor gear pve ilvl is trash. Much better to upgrade conquest gear if you want to use it for pve content
You should definitely use honor gear instead of your current pve gear
Honor gear should only be replaced by tier/conquest/crafted 450 ilvl items

This is for my paladin. It will be nice once the tier catalyst opens so we can get that crafted.
I upgraded mine, because in the end I’m going to have a lot of Honor and not a lot to spend it on. Instead of sitting with my Honor capped, I upgraded the gear. Is it worth it? Unless there’s something else you want to spend your Honor on… maybe. It’s something to do anyway.

i upgraded mine in season one to be able to run lfr. is there an ilvl requirement for the new lfr?
