Was at a Goodwill today, and found really nice condition vanilla WoW and TBC boxes, with the disks, codes, manuals, etc also in amazing condition for their age. The boxes were opened. Is it worth trying the codes and disks contained within, or should I just put them on the shelves next to my collector’s edition boxes of later expacs?
4$ is pocket change. If you find any value in them then I’d say it was worth the price.

Yeah, they’re really nice. Currently having them siting next to my CE boxes, and they actually spice things up. Wondering if I should try the CDs and codes within.
You can try the codes but I wouldn’t hold out much hope they’re still valid. If nothing else, $4 for some decorations that make you happy is worth it.

if they’re already opened is there any reason not to try the codes?
EDIT: for some reason I was thinking they were collector edition boxes, nothing those codes will do if they’re not.

I highly doubt those codes will work when you consider the base game includes everything up to Legion. And odds are high those codes have been used anyway.

I knew that base game fact before I made the buy, but you never know.
It stands to reason they’ve been used already if the boxes are open.

I have the vanilla instruction book - fun to read it and look back on how much has changed since then.

Yeah, was really surprised everything was there and in such good condition. Only reason I don’t think they’d be classified as in mint condition… is well… they were opened.

Don’t leave us in suspense OP - did you try the codes?
I’m actually trying to research if I can even still use them since they have moved to a new code system long after these codes were printed.
Edit: Even if they were unused, they won’t work since vanilla and tbc are included with whatever expansion happens to be on sale at the time. Still gonna see if entering them does anything.
