Is it worth play wow like a solo player?

No guilds, no friends.

I’m doing it. Not gonna lie it was hard to get going this expac because of this reason, but I got my stuff done this week.

Id potentially play a Tank or Healer though, because its going to be much easier to not only make friends, but get into content if you do. PvE and PvP.

It’s the way I’ve played, mostly. Sometimes it’s lonely, and you do miss out on a lot of the game. Endgame, I don’t know what I’m supposed to do solo. I usually just roll a new character at that point. Wish there were more solo content.

It is not for the faint of heart, but it is rewarding.

That’s how I roll, and I’ve been doing it for a few years. I do it just to enjoy the content, and the highest raid tier I get to experience is LFR, but that’s quite enough for me. I do accept the first invite I get for a guild, if you don’t do that you’ll be bothered constantly by guild invites.

Sup. I decline all guild invites,

If you mean “solo” as in, you only do content you can solo, you can–there’s plenty to do, but a lot of that will be old content. If you mean “solo” as in the pug-life, again, you can, but your experience will be much better if you can find a good guild to play with.

I dont think this expansion, legion was good for solo player

I’ve had a guild of me and my alts for a decade.

It’s doable if you’re very solo inclined.

I haven’t been in a guild since the end of Cata and I’ve done fine.

Still have fun and I love not having a schedule or obligations. Downside is if you care about things like Slimecat or getting KSM, it’s a bit more challenging (but not impossible.)

I think you’ve got it backwards.

It absolutely is for the faint of heart. There is no challenge and no obligations, but the rewards suck.

If you do, pick a good solo class… Hunter, Warlock, I like my Prot pally as my solo class.

99% of everything I achieved in this game, I did it solo. Not getting carried.

everyone plays like a solo player at some points (achievements, solo challenges, questing, world content/exploring).

so yeah it is fine play that way. we’re all “solo” players for a large portion of the game, unless it’s a group required activity :revolving_hearts:

I have no problems doing it and enjoy it. I occasionally group with some RL friends, but otherwise I’m guildless and playing solo. Any dungeon quests go quick with group finder and plenty of people in the world doing content to be able to tackle rares and stuff.

I’m actually considering just playing solo this season because of how insulting the KSM mount is.

I understand the appeal zero percent. WoWs strength, as a game, is largely on its squad-based combat. That’s why the three pillars exist - they’re just so solid from a content and gameplay point of view.

If I quit playing M+, I would absolutely quit WoW.

Now, having said, I get the appeal of having things to do outside arena/M+/raiding - having things to to engage with when your friends aren’t on, but the analogy is playing phone games while waiting for your friend to show up at the court for a game of racquetball. Why pay a membership fee for access to the facilities if you’re just going to sit on your phone in the lobby by yourself?

I’ve played solo since BC. You have to find things to do at endgame but it is still enjoyable. I like exploring and questing. I used to do the dungeons that I had outleveled but they kind of ruined that with the level scaling. Oh, I’m in a guild but it’s a bank guild and everyone is me.

I don’t get this analogy.

Wouldn’t playing WoW by yourself be like playing any other console/computer game by yourself? Why is it like a phone game?

I mean, I guess if you take enjoyment out of the game, but for me solo player = pugs still.

But if you mean completely solo, 0 group content whatsoever, it’s probably better to play an actual singleplayer game because there it would have way more content suited for you.
