I have been away since the Dragon expansion. Is it worth it to come back? The game was disgruntling and a horrible grind. Has anything changed? Has this server grown? I played tanks… Paladin, DK, Monk, Bear (all of them) or should I just keep on with RSL and WoR?
Had to know, that’s an individual thing. Myself, I just returned to regular play after a few years off and having a blast. I started back in Vanilla, and have taken several breaks along the way. Actually I’m still mainly playing the same toon I began in 2006, but I have recently created my first alt (Human Mage) and taking him through the Vanilla content. I’m going to take him up through every expansion. Same with my original character. When I last stopped playing regularly, Legion had just come out and I have done very little content. During this “break” since Legion release, I only played once every now and again, but I’ve been back almost daily the last couple of months.
So if you started with Dragon expansion, did you ever take a character up going through the expansions in order? Vanilla - > BC - >WoTLK, etc.? If not, I highly recommend you start a new alt and do it that way.
I’ve been having a blast starting with this mage in Vanilla, and just moved into the 4th zone (Duskwood).
So to each his own, but if you started just playing Dragon content and have never really played a character through the expansions in order, I highly recommend it 
I started with WoW. My wife and I were in alpha. I have 20 characters on Eitrigg that are 70. I have all trade skills maxed (is why I have so many). Unfortunately I want a fairly active guild that also raids more in the morning time US server. I left during Pandaria…. just could not see the bear thing and thought it silly. I came back the next expansion and played through Dragonflight. Went through all raids normal and started Heroic. Almost all of my dungeons and raids were PUG and I don’t really like that, so am trying hard to evaluate. Unfortunately you can only post on server forums (individual) so evaluating morning raiding guilds is almost impossible without a sub. So… $50 for expansion + either 200k gold or $14.99 just not sure… I started a new toon on Illidan just to see if I even still enjoy it and had a blast… like I said… just hard to justify if I can’t get what I want…
