I just wanted to make a post about the current game in my opinion and share those to try and make the game a little bit better. I probably won’t be playing the rest of the expansion after my sub expires not because the changes they brought are bad. I really enjoyed this expansion’s new features, but it’s the community and the old features that just make the game so unenjoyable for me.
This game to me has become so anti-social that trying to do keys have become a tinder fest consuming so much time that I don’t even bother with keys anymore. Which the delves have filled the void decently, but over time even those get a bit stale when they no longer drop gear that I need. And just doing them for the vault is the biggest chore I just don’t find it enjoyable especially since they are nerfing the lair to not give points to the vault now. And even if I were in a guild or had friends to do keys with, I really dislike that only half of the new dungeons can be done with keys. I like the old dungeons being reused, but I have already done these enough times when they were current content, I just want to enjoy the new dungeons for the current expansion…
So even though I love the warbands, shared rep, profession systems, extra cinematics while questing, the extra optional dialogues for story, delves (Keys, key fragments, Rep, Followers, Rewards, Cosmetics), the choice oriented weekly quests, the QoL changes we received, ect there is still 2 big issues I always find myself in when I return to WoW.
Now even though there are plenty of other problems with the game, I can look past that. But until they add a que system like normal and heroic dungeons to mythic + to stop wasting my time and finally end the tinder game play, and finally make all current dungeons for the expansion playable for mythic+ in addition to the past expansion dungeons for seasons, then I don’t see the need to play WoW any longer. Good luck, and try to be a better community.

Yeah I’d say it is!
But also I’m sorry for the community attitude that has led you to quit the game. It can’t be enjoyable to be treated as you were.
I think with the anonymity online presence gives, it can be easy to forget there’s another human on the other side.

No, it’s not worth it for you because you aren’t having fun anymore. That’s sort of how any game works. Many of us still have fun; when we stop, we’ll leave too. Hope you find something else.

Often I have sensed a conflict between the game the developers want to make versus the community they have playing their game.
As a simple example, consider world bosses.
Almost every time I find a world boss, I need to que for a party because there aren’t enough people around me interested.
With Mythic+, the increased difficulty and less levels is probably good, and does work fine if a group of five friends play together, but most people aren’t in that situation and run into a toxic community that doesn’t let players actually progress and enjoy the content.
The developers are like chefs who keep preparing great meals, while the players then poison those meals when they get their hands on it.
That being said, let’s not completely let the developers off the hook.
In theory, they could do SOMETHING in an attempt to remove toxicity, but instead they just keep cranking out new meals without tackling the core issues.

I am feeling the same way.
Pretty sad when a game that is supposed to be a massive multiplayer game does not allow conversation, and allows some petty people to behave poorly without needing any interaction at all.
As far as I can see, it is status quo and will not change either.
Please make it so if required to do activities with a bunch of people we can either communicate and get along and get things done, or allow us to be fully independent, free from being punished by judgmental, impatient, petty people.

It’s not that I’m not having fun in the game. This expansion has been the most fun for me since Legion. However, I always loved doing keys as well, and it is a big part of gearing up for heroic raids, but since Dragonflight for me I waste so much time trying to get into groups that it’s just not enjoyable. You need to out gear the dungeon you’re signing up for or the leader isn’t going to invite you. If I had friends or a guild that worked with me then it probably wouldn’t be so bad, but it’s not about not having fun. It’s that the system of keys is just not in a good spot. Which is a big part of the gearing cycle. And to be honest, I just love making gold as well, I wouldn’t mind playing just for professions but I have burnt out so hard on gold grinding while the expansion is fresh that seeing the prices dropping so dramatically this week has also put a bummer on the love. This I knew was inevitable, and I’ll probably just stick to casually making gold for the reminder of my sub. But I wish I could have the fun like how the game is meant to be and not because I don’t have a solid group playing with me consistently. But thank you very much for the best wishes, I hope the New World re-release goes well and may try them out again and I hope you continue having fun in Azeroth :).
There’s always other games. I get my rated PvP fix from Smite and my co op fix from Space Marines 2.
This expansion for me has mostly been about alting and mogging.

Very true, the best features to come this xpac :D. Already got like 7 80’s now haha. That is probably one of the best things I have loved as well, leveling up my 70’s to 80’s have actually been super enjoyable doing the dungeon spams with the 25% xp boost. And it’s going to be all dungeons available in the que soon as well, going to be even better <3.

The Tee double u double u burn out came fast.
My plans to hardcore push mog runs with the new mog system. I love delves so I don’t mind capping at like 610ish Ilvl and grinding renown for PvE end game. Really would like to get back into raiding but the time commitment kills me.
Warbound tier pieces from legacy content and being able to get all gear and weapon types added to your stamp book regardless of class has been a blessing. WoW has become my vibe out podcast game.

I dunno how anyone plays this game or any other social game without others. While I give the stronge suggestion of trying a content guild on a RP server I equally say if you are not finding the social aspect hitting the right spots take a bteak or whatever. Just do what makes you happy. c:
The sad part is I still want to play and do keys for heroic raiding, and make a Dracthyr hunter, and finish the AotC, and get the reputations done and get to my 2 million gold mark, and I don’t know about others but the main reason I play the game is Raids, Keys, and Making Gold so the grouping system being too picky for keys and making it too time consuming is just killing 2 of those 3 for me :(.
No one talks outside of trade chat on WrA either. We’re the largest horde rp server. I’ve had alliance on MG too and it’s no different. We go into lfg with everyone else and get grouped with illidian area 52 or stormrage tichondrius like everyone else. Don’t make people waste transfer money. RP is the primary reason to be here. Not more social grouping.
Edit: the last thing anyone should do is join a “content” guild on an RP server. Lawd, the drama.

I work in politics. Most guilds I’ve joined have been intolerable because of it.
Green chat feels like a politics simulator from most guilds I joined and I get enough of that from my 9-5.
Just recently joined The Old Gods and I’m hopeful for that cus ik they’re heavily focused on actually doing content.
Hasn’t been my experience also a lot of my fun and history of playing content has been in WRA content Horde guilds. I will never forget trying to do mythic Antorus with the Roblox DH, bless their soul.
Yeah, the problem is I’ve been trying to find a decent guild for multiple expansions now. I’ve had some nice people, but I like to do heroic raids and every guild I run into I find the same issues arise in all of them, either too many members in the group for the raid is under-geared, but since they are friends with each other they are still able to join the group and we just keep beating our heads against a stone wall we will not pass until everyone puts in effort to gear. Or either they only play with each other so even trying to get into guild key runs with the guild is very difficult, usually only the tank position is available, which is not my cup of tea. And if I try to join one of the mega guilds, there are plenty of people to do keys with, but then raid slots are unavailable. I’ve tried to put in effort to make connections with people but nothing comes of it, I’ve always been pretty sociable in game ever since I started in wrath with all the friendly customs that have always been apart of the wow community and this was never an issue back then but for some reason it is now. Tried making my own guild but even that has been difficult on my own. So yes, I do like the group systems that let you que and do content with others, but I’ve had very hard luck finding a guild that clicks to have that smooth progression. Funny enough my toons are on moon guard except for this guy, just RP isn’t my thing, I just thought I would find a guild there that might work, after many server transfers. But it is nice that guilds can be cross server and cross factions now though, but how long I’ll have to wait to find those people are to be determined.
Maybe in 3 more expansions
