So I have been playing world of warcraft on and off since december 2006, between then and now I have left in the middle for substantial amounts of time, perhaps because of this, I have never suffered a burnout, although it did mean that I missed some well liked expansions like WOTLK and Legion.
So anyway now I see that Battle for Azeroth is getting criticized a lot and people are saying it’s the final nail in the coffin for WoW which is basically dead, etc, etc.
The thing is, even though any in game friends I had left long ago, I’m still enjoying the game, although right now I’m still in the process of levelling up multiple characters.
So I want your opinion, should I continue to play a game that I like, i.e World of Warcraft? Or am I investing my time and effort in a fools errand?
Refer point 1. Your opinion about fun is the most valid argument you can take into consideration. Ignore what others say.
Referring both 1 and 2, make a decision on whether the game is fun for you. Even if 30k people say “OMG this is so fun you are playing it wrong”, if you are not having fun quit and come back later.
Well I mean it was assumed that he would have sold them all first to give me more gold. I am not greedy though. You can have his battle pets and I will have his gold.
I never understood why people will ask if its worth it or not. Just try it out and see for yourself. Only you will know if you like it or not. Everyone has different experiences with games. If you don’t like the game, okay, you wasted a few dollars, don’t resub!
I am continuing to play ‘retail’ hoping to finish up the last items which require camping. I am only going to do so until classic comes out. I don’t plan to play ‘retail’ much at all. I can see jumping in when a new patch is released to see what is new. The bulk of my time will be in classic however.
If you are enjoying, do not listen to what others say negatively. You should keep playing.
If you are not enjoying yourself, do not listen to what others say positively. You should not keep playing.
Point: No one can answer if you should keep playing besides you. Fun yes, not fun no.
edit: Not to OP, in general, why oh why do people worry about what other people are doing while ignoring their own personal feelings. The world may never know.
I also lost most of my friends list, which includes my brother who got me into the game, but if you’re still enjoying the game, it’s definitely worth spending time on. Hell, I’ve spent time and money on games that got shutdown but I don’t regret it, because I had fun while I played them.
I think it is only with it if you change your mog. its an eyesore. its all over the place. Very unmatching. I think we need to call in Clinton and Stacy to come set you right.
If you’re asking that I’m kind of certain you already made up your mind.
I still play to finish reps and get the few mounts I want. I figure that blizzard will do some asinine move with rep again a year later and I don’t want to grind it later on.
