Is it true Moonguard has a lot of server lore?

I know this thread was about me asking about Moonguard but lemme just return the favour and go on a schpiel about Argent Dawn for yah.

We had something on Argent Dawn like that as well as a few others. I remembe there was one which was like a Thlassian Colave where dozens of Blood Elf guilds would meet up to discuss important matters. Not sure what happened to it since the first organiser left.

You also mentioned you’re considering going to Argent Dawn. I say give it a try but be prepared for the sadness of losing all your transmog, mounts and other collections etc. The worst thing for me in terms of WoW when I moved out of the EU was the fact that I lost many years of progress.

In terms of RP Argent Dawn has a slightly larger Alliance population, but the Horde side is most certainly active. There’s also something called the “PCU” or the “Perroy Cinematic Universe” which I ought to mention because if you play on AD, you WILL come across them.

The PCU began as a joke name, as Perroy is the name of a Forsaken Guild Master who began branching out and making other guilds with his officer core for other concepts (Like a Blood Elf guild, a Darkspear Troll one) until eventually there were about 5-6 guilds that all spawned from this effort, but they weren’t just alt guilds. New members joined these guilds and it became a thriving community of guilds. It eventually opened up so that any guild master could opt to join the “PCU” which has become a collaborative effort between dozens of guilds at this point. Each guild is totally independant on their own but they can also opt in to large scale campaign style RP events that are organized by the leadership.

This all sounds perfect, but there’s plenty of people on Argent Dawn who dislike the PCU because in the past many of it’s members would troll the forums, harass people as they had a very … Unique attitude. Some of them practically worshipped the ground Perroy trod on which came across as more of a cult than anything else. I’ve heard that members such as those are no longer a part of the community so I don’t know if it’s still a thing so I’d recommend making your own mind up about them.

Oh and magic beer

Currently the Grand Alliance community and the Coalition of the Horde fill these purposes!

MG-H is so schmol tho and IRL has beaten so many of us up that it’s a bit of a challenge to get such a project off the ground/into the limelight. It’s also really only a ‘thing’ during large server events like the upcoming Warcraft Conquest one. Otherwise horde on MG is all pretty independent.

Others have mentioned the SLP; and I only bring them up because if you spend time RPing in Stormwind, you WILL run into them. Another community that is sorta related is the Cathedral/Church of the Holy Light community. There are Discord servers associated with these groups as well, but I don’t have links to them.

Of course, you can ignore things like this at your leisure; but they are out there. Their influence is not entirely inconsequential. Just something to be aware of.

IS IT TRUE MOONGUARD HAS A LOT OF SERVER LORE?

yes and all of it sucks

The only server lore I know of for MG-H recently is the Sand Trolls allying with the Horde.

Which, gotta say, has been a really nice experience. I hope we see more server lore and things that push the boundaries beyond “military guild that does military things” guilds that we see all too often on Alliance.

The MG wiki exists, but like SLP, you aren’t beholden to it. You can basically pretend it doesn’t exist. I feels like something that used to be cool, then got turned into a tool for importance, and now isn’t really on people’s lips either way, anymore.
