Is it TOS for guilds to mass report or is that different to brigading?

Title.

TL;DR: It’s all my fault for existing with a pop culture name on an RP server, even though I didn’t say anything to anyone. I am penitent and just want to know if this is allowed or not so i can find a new server or name change.

I know brigading is against the TOS, but is it still a violation if they encourage the mass reporting of another player in public chat channels and privately within their guild? Is it TOS for them to do this to another play who is violating the TOS? Am I violating the TOS? I have no interest in reporting people but if this is allowed, I’ll probably just xfer out since I wasn’t even trolling and all of this happened.

I thought playing on an RP server would be chill and was looking forward to an active Orgrimmar, but people really love to let the world know who they need to report here and it’s just really toxic and stressful. Between the messages in trade name-dropping people that must be reported and the DM’s, it FeelsWeirdMan. The funny part is that I haven’t even spoken in trade yet in my character’s 4 day life. I was sitting kinda near the Valley of Strength Blacksmith shop while setting up WeakAuras when all of this had happened. Some guy said “WOLFMAN’S GOT mycharacternamehere” and then the whispers started lol.

Also, should I just change my name now while I’m not attached to it? Getting really nasty whispers all day is making me depresso so if I’m making people mad I’d rather get it outta the way before i get spam invited to groups and mass reported again.

Still seems pretty open-ended. Orcs can have weird names I guess. I’m not trying to game the system though, if I gotta change it I will. More curious about the way other people were acting and if that is acceptable, and also socially acceptable. If it is I’ll probably go somewhere else. Very hostile here.

I don’t know your character name or actually what people said. But can people be offended by a name, yes sure it can happen and there’s rules actually that support that.

It does seem to bother you, so if you feel the need to name change; you should do that. Speaking only for myself, when it comes to things concerning me, the people who mind don’t matter and the people who matter don’t mind.

its against ToS to suggest blizzard should hire people to handle reports instead of letting thier fre…I mean effective AI.

If you have to ask, probably not. Also, if you are asking in order to report someone for doing this, I’d say you’re wasting your time. One report won’t do much, especially if it was about an rp name.
