Is it too late to start fresh?

Don’t roll on non fresh vanilla servers if you don’t have several friends to play with imo. It is boring without fast groups available.

I’d suggest going to a private server. Blizzards implementation of classic has been terrible and privates have a better service.
The games great but the company is doing their best to ruin it.

Good luck affording anything with the huge inflation from Bots.

honestly i hope they will open some fresh classic server with tbc… the community will be short and purg and certainly better than what we have actualy… if they open some fresh server we can be sure to have a massiv majority of true vanilla lover and not a majority of bullsh** casual performer only focus on rush the content as fast as possible…

tl;dr

The community is largely down to raid logging and stressing out about parses that don’t matter on a third party website. Is classic fun?

Yea. At this point though, I only stay for the drama.

This should change next week when you can get awesome gear from the tier 0.5 questlines.

Make a hunter. Very strong and self sufficient class, fairly easy leveling (although it can be as monotonous as paladin, its not nearly as difficult.) Also the class will be pretty strong when TBC arrives, until then its about middle of the pack in terms of strength.

except they just announced there will be no TBC or any other classic expacs…

If you’re worried about not having people to run dungeons with just play something like a priest that can solo instances at level.

What servers are considered “mega”

this is wrong. dungeons happen. see it all the time in LFG>

you are just salt

Where did you see this

you will have tbc its easy money for them… tbc was more casual than vanilla… i emane they never stop to make the game more casual… so if they dont give tbc after classic they will make cry all the baby casual blizzard community and they certainly dont want to see that… for me tbc will just be a way to drasticly purge the classic community… i just hope they will open some fresh classic server in the same time… we will have a more than better community on classic

You’re getting mixed answers here, and while I can’t tell you the right one, I can tell you what my experience was. I started about 2 months ago as a fresh warrior - probably the worst class to start with. Let me tell you. I found dungeons all the time, got all my pre raid bis, made decent bank, and found a great guild to roll with. I had the same concerns as you when starting, but so far I’ve had a great time playing as a newer player.

Some are saying it depends on the server. If you want a reference, then I play on Bigglesworth-NA West

I’ll never understand why people troll like this. There are some decent trolls in the world, but this is just lazy and pathetic. Report him and move on.

Going to be totally honest with you. I re-rolled an orc rogue on the same server with a second account and it has been a completely terrible experience. Zero dungeon groups other than boosting, and even at 60, no one runs regular dungeons unless they reserve specific items (that I almost always want). This reserve culture wasn’t a thing in 2006, and it’s almost making me want to bench the second rogue. I never thought it was as bad/prevalent as it is.

The obvious response I’m going to receive to the above is find a guild/group of friends to do dungeons with. Well, unfortunately most people have their phase 4 BiS already and don’t want to bother with dungeons. My second rogue has had an awful experience, and so, I’d say only re-roll unless you have friends to play with already.

Wait…what?

stop to troll all expenssionw as more casual than vanilla 2005

yea i see people in the starting zones but they dont want to group up or anything eventually you will hit elite quests too and that just makes it much harder and sad part is i see a lot of people spaming over time for help and nobody helps them for a good 20 or so minutes so they just quit. lots of boosting going on. think that is what kills it too.

this is the best time for hybrid most of the catch up gear could be consider biss

If you are looking to prepare for TBC no, if you are looking for Scarab Lord yes, and if you are looking for Naxx maybe.
