Is it Too Late To Start Classic?

As the title states, is it too late to start playing Classic? Is everyone level 60 and rich at this point? Are there still people around for group quests?

It’s never too late! Many people, like me, are taking our sweet time leveling up, and playing alts on the side. There are always plenty of folks running around at any level.

You’ll notice starter zones are kind of dead, but that’s great because it means you’ll get through the first 20 levels a lot faster. After about L20 you’ll see more people.

Definitely not, I have played a couple hours a night since launch and I am still only 47. I think that most people are in a similar position.

Not late at all. I’m casual and I’ve got a lvl 24 and a lvl 21. That’s due to limited time and just fine with me. Having fun.

Absolutely not too late.

No. Start away.

It’s not too late, it’s never too late!

-three days grace.

But seriously your fine jump in.

My highest toon in Classic is 31. Judging from the populations I’ve seen while leveling there are many other people either taking their time or breeding alts.

Don’t believe the crap from the anti-classic crowd; Classic is alive and well.

I’m on Bloodsail. FWIW

Its never too late. My main is level 43. Still tons of people in the world sub-60 questing. I also get bored playing my main and several alts from level 10-30.

Lots of people playing alts. I have a mage at 17, Warrior at 12, Warlock at 19 and Druid at 39.

No matter what time of the day I login, there’s always players doing quest and running dungeons. Especially in the 30-48 range.

You’ll be fine, there’s plenty of people leveling, even on the smaller servers.

I haven’t had any shortage of people so far.

Mind you I did start day 1 and my mains 56 but I also have this Warrior and a Warlock and Druid at 30+

nope. fun for all classes levels and ages. make a toon on Mankrik!

Ehhh I don’t know about that. I got started a couple weeks ago and man it was bustling.

I felt bad for poor hogger this time around. He was getting moshed faster than he could respawn.

There is always new players and some making alts…

I never understood the stress of being “too late”…

Its not too late, its never too late.

A lot of folks are leveling alts. I know I’m on one of the lower population servers and it’s been a little slow to get groups for things like Deadmines, but I’ve gotten a couple during prime time. There are people in all the leveling areas but it’s not over crowded, etc.

I imagine on a higher population server it’ll be even better.

It’s a good time to start actually, things are chill, the economies are budding and stabilizing still which means access to resources some of us early adopters didn’t have access to and there are always helpful people wandering around.

Level 60 but not rich!

Like others have said, it’s never too late! The more the merrier! Come join us, you know you want to.

Edit: I’d like to add I started my Alliance character last night and got to level 9. It’s like starting from scratch all over, and I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to. It might be because I played Alliance in retail so I get a special kick out of seeing the other side after playing exclusively Horde since Classic launched.

I’ve been wondering if Classic would have critical-mass longevity similar to late-Wrath, where power players just keep re-upping with alts – and even beyond the rush, servers stay lively. Might be significant follow-up waves, too.
