I just got my internet back at my place and have been following classic for a bit. Was able to log in briefly after the launch of TBC but fell off after people i started with went back to Retail. Wondering if it would be lost cause to start a new character and lvl up in time for Wrath.
Nope. Just get going and have fun, Wotlk starts 9/26 and there has never been a better time to level due to the 50% xp buff
Now’s a really great time to get started! Pre-patch has been out for just over a week, so 70 is the current max-level. There’s also a 50% experience buff until Wrath launches on September 26th.
There are some queues during peak hours on a lot of the servers though, so keep that in mind!
Right now the perfect time to start playing Classic when you can get past the queues. Get to 60 in no time flat, and just level from 60 to 70 inside AV. You’ll have a full set of the very best PvP gear in the game and be ready to level at break neck speed in wrath.
Alright thank you so much. Im gonna jump on that. I need to do some research and find out what the better support is going to be to play.
Depends on what your trying to accomplish. If you want to play the game because it’s fun then it’s never to late. If you want to wave your epeen around by showing off how far you make it before everyone else then yes it’s probably to late.
No i just wanna do some of the end game stuff that i never got to do when it was current. I didnt start playing wow until Legion.
There are fresh servers that basically just came out and have new players/characters only on them. Should roll on one of those.
Alright ill look into that!
Skyfury and Maladeth or something
Then your good to go! I hope you enjoy your time in wrath. It’s my favorite version of the game.
By support, do you mean healer?
Maybe have a look at the WoW Classic New Guild Listings forum to get a sense for what people are recruiting for.
On Skyfury, Archaic has a vibrant and pretty large community with 5 raiding groups at various times. While we are still accepting applications, I think we require people to be at at least level 30 at the moment.
Check us out if interested (Skyfury currently has around 3 hour queues during peak login):
I mean, there’s 2-8 hour queues on every relevant server but if you can actually play the game, then yes it would be totally worth it.
Yeah its too late. If you dont have at least a 70 main and dk alt 70, its over
Not at all. Jump in and have fun!
You’re right on time.
If you want to skip most of the leveling you can buy a boost from a mage like me, or buy it from blizzard.
Do your research on the server that fit you best.
Thanks so much! im gonna find a server and jump in.
Now to decide between DPS and heals
I just want to say this thread and all the responses were great.
Hope you have fun getting back into the game OP.
Theres fresh servers where everyone has only been playing a week. Hop on one of those if youre worried about being behind.
Perfect time to start. You have a few weeks to hit 70 and start your 80 push with everyone else!
Or just buy a boost and hit AV for some brutal gear!
