Is it time to remove stealth?

Stealth gameplay in video games is often designed to give players the ability to complete missions or objectives in a non-confrontational manner. Some players may feel that the strength of stealth is too powerful in certain games, making it too easy to avoid enemies or bypass challenges. Ultimately, the strength of stealth mechanics in a game is determined by the design choices made by the developers. This can take away from the challenge and excitement of playing the game. Keeping stealth mechanics to World of Warcraft could change the nature of the game and potentially impact its balance. Some players might enjoy the added challenge and strategy that stealth brings, while others might find it detracts from the game’s core focus.

So… remove rogues and cat druids? I’m not understanding the point you’re trying to make.

I think it’s time to remove plate armor, as a Warrior my skill with a sword should be enough to keep me alive, as a Paladin your faith in the light should be enough, as DK you don’t even feel anything so, plate wearers should be forced to fight in the nude.

Add sentry wards from dota 2 instead. Watch endless trains of rogues and druids get blasted because they cant figure out how to deal with people who can fight back.

i know youre trolling but i wouldnt mind at this point. just let me use stealth abilities without stealth tho

stealth was only truly valuable back when i was on a true pvp server.

Yeah, they are called ‘traps’ and ‘flare’ I do that often.

The OP is correct. Whats wrong is the terminology.

Warcraft has invisibility not stealth and it needs to be removed or reworked. Players being completely undetectable is antithetical to the reason for playing games.
At best it should just make players harder to see. Like predator stealth. A blurry outline. Something. Just not completely invisible

Remove invisibility. Implement stealth.

Only if I can use pocket sand to blind enemies so I can dash past them whilst giggling madly until they drop aggro.

well you can bring a DH or find them with aoes. undetectable is pushing it. gotta admit it feels good managing to force a stealthy out of stealth with a clutch smart aoe position

I would gladly love it if only level 70’s could post in the WoW forums, and only retail too.

Actually it has both, Stealth has a detection radius, if you get close you can spot them and see through it, a mage gets invisability which has no detection radius, you can stand right ontop of someone and they still wont see you, but it also has a short duration compared to stealth.

Two different mechanics.

That’s true I guess.

Stealth should require some cover to function. A shrub or tall grass. As soon as you leave cover your character becomes visible again.

Thank you Chatgp for this information.

Remember old camo… oof that was bad. Also you can see people in stealth, you can even hear it.

Yes I remember, it was disheartening.

I love posts like this.

There’s something about the sport of arguing outrageous positions that I really enjoy.

Maybe I’m sick.

Aww. Someone got spam sapped by a rogue this afternoon
