Should 8.2 be the final big content patch? You could probably squeeze in a tiny N’zoth raid right after Azshara and pack it up for BfA. Maybe 8.2.5 as a small farewell to the expansion.
Let’s be honest. BfA is a pretty big failure, even most people still playing dislike it. I think they should cut their losses and focus as much time and attention as possible on making the next expansion as good as it can be.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be quick to give up. Some of us are still having fun with the expansion. But I do understand, this game is not someone cup of tea.
out of curiosity, when you say that they pulled the plug, can you give an example that leads you to believe that? not saying it is true just want some context.
Blizzard also lost 50% of WoD’s subs in 6 months, which also led to them not disclosing those numbers anymore. We don’t have any accurate data on what BFA’s subs are like.
That said, BFA actually has story content to do outside of raiding unlike WoD, so I doubt they’ll do too much rushing.
I hope not. Out of the gate there were issues, but they have worked on improving a lot of them, with further improvements coming in 8.2. (Speaking of Azerite system)
I have been enjoying the expansion. The zones, dungeons, and raids have been good.
Warmode, well maybe not for everyone, has also got me doing world PVP which is something I did not do in the past. I look forward to incursions as this is where most of my WPVP takes place.
I only came back at the end of WOD from a long break that started at the beginning of WOTLK, but overall I like the expansion.
I also like that the dev’s seem so open to changes. The changes do not come quick, as they should not, but they do come.
Blizzard didn’t pull the plug on WoD. They had initially planned to get Legion out much sooner when they were planning on no flying.
When the massive sub loss forced them to add flying back, they needed another year-ish to get Legion ready, and had to scramble to strech WoD over two years.
BfA might not be great content for many folks, but they definitely planned for two years of it.
Given the Azerite system overhaul in 8.2 I doubt they intend to pull the plug. If they wanted the xpac to just end, they wouldn’t be wasting their time on this and the other announced features.
I agree this xpac was a step down from Legion in a lot of ways but I still have a ways to go before I feel this xpac is as bad as WoD
No thanks. Still a lot of story to tell and content to do. I’ve been getting my WoW motivation back lately and would hate for them to enter maintenance mode until the next expac, which in turn, would be rushed.
Funny how many BfA complainers there are that don’t even seem to have played enough to have an informed opinion.
So to answer your question OP: No, what are you even saying? Don’t get caught up in the cynicism.
This is actually false, there was a whole raid tier cut, as well as main story points, which is why the WoD story was even more confusing than it should have been.
Your link is evidence of ideas scrapped, not “pulling the plug.” Some of those even indicated that while that particular content wasn’t added, something else was in its place.
