Was there any particular reasoning behind not only killing alliance honor grind, but also BUFFING the meta horde grind(world pvp ganking) by giving them 9 honor kills instead of 4? Do the boomers at blizzard even play WoW? Or do they play horde?

Called it the moment I saw it in the notes day 1. Every action has an opposite and equal reaction but apparently this is supposed to be how Vanilla “felt.”

10% DR on honor was the vanilla amount, 25% that we had was the change.
All things charitable are done solely as a tax write off, fyi. It’s a nice idea but it’s just a tax loop.
Gee, is that why churches that aren’t taxed engage in so much charity, for the write off on taxes they don’t incur?
I was referring to Blizz, and to corporate charity campaigns in general.
Blizzard throws a wrench into the AV premade machine, which was ruining the game for alliance and horde, and that is what made you think of finding a new MMO? Why were you even here?
The DR change sounds horrible but it actually helps us alliance who are ranking while punishing the rest of the player base. The current meta is Farming HKs in AV. There is no chance of winning. The goal is to get as many kills as possible so the new DR helps us out there.
Yep it’s time for a new MMO, for you at least. I suggest one without pvp.
honor grind is relative to the faction - it cannot be killed - the meta will simply change.
Also, the answer to your post’s title → there’s lots of stuff to play out there — all these games are just entertainment - if yee be not entertained, find something else.
TemTem is early access but if you like dog fighting games it might be up your alley.

Rather not find a new one. Too many are just so bog standard and boring following the same boring formula. Even 14 is incredibly formulaic and predictable. No thanks. I’ll hang out in the best one still.
Blizz are idiots, but WoW Classic is still the best thing around. At least until some heavily inspired studio actually steps up and makes the next big thing. That won’t happen for a while though.
There’s a few reasons why classic is so popular right now. one of those is the absolute lack of any quality MMO on the market. so good luck with that.
