DPS is feeling punishingly low in Eternal Palace compared to most other classes right now to me. Thoughts on how monks are scaling?

WW is bottom tier DPS for raids. Stick to M+ and PvP or re-roll.

Eternal Palace is really punishing for melee this time around. I’ve had sever people reroll away from melee in my guild because of it. WW is not bottom tier at all.

All his Twitter said was WW was garbage on normal mode. Yea, normal and heroic parses are a joke. Also it says that there are more parses then monk, umm yeah, monk is the lowest played class in the game and has been since it came into the game. Idk maybe Monks are “bad” but I am making my decision based on how the WW in my guild does. He is always top of the dmg meters and always parses in top 10 US. Maybe he is a WW prodigy or maybe they are not. /Shrug I play tanks.
If he is beating other dps equally geared to him, then the other dps are just bad. Go look at logs and you will see even perfect parse monks are being beaten out by people who are doing 70 parses on other classes.

“I do well in my guild” has never been, and never will be, good evidence for the performance of a spec.

The dude tweeting is one of the biggest who theory crafts for monk and runs the peakofserenity.
Also the last article he wrote broke the numbers down to show we were not doing well, compared to the other specs.
He made a claim that I just checked on logs and they dont have a single WW with any logs for this raid.
That is fine. My whole point to the beginning of first comment in this post was that I don’t think WW is inherently bad, because all melee are having a rough time in the raid. With ranged being king, there isn’t a point to bring a monk. That is why there is at least 1 DH in top end guilds, so they can buff the ranged.
We are 13th out of the 13 melee specs
And to clarify I dont mind when other specs are above us, but monk shouldn’t be beaten by all melee specs for some of those that have multiple dps spec options. That is just complete bs, monks have always been the least represented class and ww being the least represented spec of that class. Having our dmg so low does not help our community health by any means. Burning throne was the strongest ww had ever been, and we still were pretty low representation. And then we moved into bfa and been struggling ever since.

Doesn’t really help that monk is top 1-3 hardest melee dps specs that punishes you enormously for brief moments of bad play. Mistiming abilities means missing out on mastery, dropping your hit combo stacks, missing a whirling dragon punch until you’ve hit a full FoF, etc.
Plus doing AOE on it feels like playing an accordion with broken fingers. Single target too, though to a lesser extent. AOE involves clunky abilities (chi burst, fof) that have channels or cast times, constant target swapping, procs, and still alternating abilities to maintain either mastery or hit combo. Now try to do all of that while also paying attention to mechanics and it’s no surprise people drop it or do poorly at it.
It has some button bloat issues too. I feel like Fist of the white tiger could become a passive and I’d never notice it being gone – it doesn’t feel anything different from hitting Tiger palm or anything else in the toolkit really. Not like whirling dragon punch where you actually leap in the air, or FoF with the hundred hand slap. The spenders feel pretty similar too in an actual rotation. I’d honestly rather see them go and just do more fists, or have them become the builders and FoF + Spinning Crane the dedicated spenders.

I mostly just want the poor scaling and myriad of bugs to be fixed along with just changing the piss poor ai of SEF
Windwalker just really feels like a spec that blizzard doesn’t want to support
