I mean, every expansion final boss is either a tank or a dps leading everyone, don’t you think it is time that a healer is strong enough to lead all the evil forces and be the greatest threat to Azeroth for once?
Burning Crusade : Illidan Stormrage is a DPS havoc demon hunter.
Wrath of the Lich King : The Lich King is a DPS frost death knight.
Cataclysm: Deathwing is a tank.
Mists of Pandaria : Garrosh is a DPS arms warrior.
Warlords of Draenor : Archimonde is either a Tank or DPS, but he doesn’t wear a shirt so who knows?
Legion : Argus is either a Tank or DPS, it could be a tank because it was really weak in Shadowlands, but he could also just be a DPS arms warrior.
Battle for Azeroth : Nzoth is either a Tank or DPS.
Shadowlands : The Jailor is a DPS arms warrior.
I think the time has come that a healer becomes the final boss, the one behind everything, the one who plotted for ten thousand years, the most powerful enemy that puts every other past boss to shame until the next expansion final boss is revealed…
What do you think?
Healers focus on life and rejuvenating others. Not like killing them.
You could argue they suck life force to heal stuff but id just argue thats blood magic or some other form of evil non healing voodoo.
No evil boss ever cared enough about their minions to heal them. Raise them from the dead to dominate them maybe. But not heal them. Healing typically requires good intentions.
When you can work out how a healing boss might work lore wise let us know.
I’ll be the healing final boss; they just have to make me an official character in the lore
One of the harder and fun boss fights in Trial of the Crusader was a PvP style fight vs multiple NPCs with a variety of abilities, healing of course being one of them. No reason we couldn’t have a final boss encounter vs multiple characters.

NPCs don’t serve “roles” though, they’re classes or even specs of classes and utilize those class powers. Arthas isn’t a “tank”, he’s just a Death Knight.

Whitemane sorta was.
Just have three npcs and a healer who has baby heals that can be interrupted. And one big heal that gets interrupted after stunning the boss with %dps. Tune it so you kill the npc of your choices while off tanking the other and DPSing the boss. Maybe make one minion a melee and one a ranged. Develop complexity from there.
Azeroth deserves a better class of villain, and i’m gonna give it to em.
yea no to a healing boss we need to kick this spell misses boss get back 100% lol

She wasn’t the end boss but there was a green dragon in ICC that was a “healer” boss.
Kind of.
While I don’t think we’d get -just- a healer, a council boss as a final boss would be very interesting, but which council? How would it be explained that each member of the council is equally worthy of being feared and in their position as a final boss equally?
