I’ve never played horde side but I keep hearing its much better for finding mythic plus groups and doing PvP in general.
For someone looking to push mythic plus and doing casual PvP, is it worth rerolling to the horde side?

If you plan to take endgame content halfway serious, then yes, play Horde.
If you don’t care about taking endgame content seriously then play whichever faction you want.
If you don’t like one faction over the other (as in lore/aesthetics) then Horde is the obvious option. But if you prefer the Alliance for its lore/aesthetics then I’d say think twice before going to Horde. Unless you’re hitting a ceiling where you can’t progress unless you go Horde, I’d say stick with Alliance if you like Alliance better. But that’s just my take.
I’ve been having trouble finding mythic plus groups so I may need to consider switching then. I do want to take endgame seriously.
It’s honestly a world of a difference. Just take a look at the differences in the group finder for anything, not to mention the abundance of guilds you’ll find recruiting depending on the server.
Horde is like playing Alliance on steroids.
all this time you’ve been playing the wrong faction. That’s quite sad Ma’am.
Rumor has it that Horde has the majority of PvP players.
I think it’s fun to play both sides. It’s a game, and not an social life choice, so why not see what both sides have to offer.
I main Horde and LOVE it, I’ve been Horde since 2009, but I have every Race/ Class on the Alliance side, too, and adore my Alliance characters. It’s nice to experience the flavour of each Faction.
There’s no difference as far as the casual player is concerned.
Raiding is a whole other story. You can ask any high end raider whose a content creator their thoughts on the raiding scene, they’ll straight up tell you Alliance is a joke. Horde have stronger PvE racials, and always have.
I don’t see it as worth it. I never have trouble finding low M+ keys even if it’s in the wee hours of the morning. I’ve successfully pugged nyalotha probably 5 times since releaae including Heroic a few times. The only reason I could ever see going horde being a necessity is for mythic raiding or ranked pvp…neither of which I have any interest
Alliance is just better. I have no interest in being an edgy anti hero surrounded by mud huts and red spikes. Alliance environments are simply far more pleasing to be in, that’s not even an opinion
If you’re looking to do end game content esp M+ or pvp, go to these servers imo: Thrall, Area-52 or Illidan. You’ll find M+ groups fairly easily and always premades being formed for 3s or bgs. I don’t pvp too much but even in the world, you’ll always see groups forming for CTA.
If you prefer alliance visuals, play what you like. I love my hordies so I’m staying on Thrall plus the community is quite nice and helpful. Tons of guilds and many great guilds like mines who are very active.
I’ve played both sides fairly extensively. I’ve found Alliance to generally be kinder and you’ll have no issue pushing M+ Horde or Alliance.
They’re about the same, imo.
You just get a lot more oceanic players on Alliance.
No, not really. People from my guild do mythic content a lot (even if I personally CBA). Casual PvP is easy peasy on both sides.
The answer is always yes, because you get to be Horde.
I have no idea what kind of icing you’re looking for, but you’ll already have the cake.
Yes. The difference is immediately noticeable. Horde has at least two times as many Heroic and Mythic guilds, and in any given mythic dungeon run, the player skill per capita is dramatically higher. There’s also just so many more groups forming at any given point in time it’s hardly funny.
If you care about progression and gameplay first, horde is the faction to play. I would have hopped over if I didn’t have mad sunk cost, no way I leave behind 13 years of Alliance play. But on a pragmatic level, there’s really no reason to play alliance when Horde has the numbers and experience.
What key have you managed to reach?
I’ve been pretty lucky to have a guild that is able to push And complete m+15 on the alliance quite regularly. So maybe it depends on the guild? But I would say pugs for high M+ might be a challenge.
