In regular Classic, yes but it takes longer now. Still some people getting it even today…
You’d be hard pressed to even go from R13 to R14 in SOM right now. Like if you are R13 and 3/4 then yea more possible. But other than that the answer is a hard no.

Probably not worth. Would take months I think. I’m sure a announcement of a fresh or som 2 will be announced. But I guess if prefer to just stay on era you can. Bgs don’t even pop until late nights. Mostly on weekends only
How balanced are the BGs on era? Is the win/loss roughly 50/50 or is there a big bias like we are seeing in wotlk?
I personally haven’t done any bc I just find it not even worth my time to only play at nights really, but I’m in the discord and read what the people who still set it up say and it seems like horde mainly win. They need more alliance. Like I’ve said though, probably not worth until blizzard announces a som 2 or classic+. I want to play vanilla again so badly for pvp and pve but era just doesn’t have that community/player vibe.
From what I understand the pvp pool is so small that rankers have to do silithus sand turnins for the honor
