Phase 5 just dropped so you got plenty of time until Phase 6 is released. What they plan to do beyond that is unknown but a lot of time until then.

Mostly yes, some of the rune quests will suck though.
What they plan to do after Phase 6 (AQ) is Phase 7 (Naxx). After that, unclear.

Youll get your character to 60 then they will gut its abilities. If that sounds fun to you then enjoy.

Is it that bad? I didn’t follow SoD at all, but comments seem mostly negative 
Ignore the haters. It is very easy to catch up. there are more guilds than players right now. For whatever reason people insist on running their own little guild lol.

Yea, it is that bad. But luckily you get a mixed batch of insight on the forums rather than a few sod players begging for new players to join the game. Not saying you cant play it but it will be a waste of time in general
