Is it possible to get and old banned account back?

My old world of Warcraft account has been banned since WOD. i have learned my lesson since then not to use a fishing bot and i have bought an account since then and i have been playing i have way more gold in this new account and everything but i just want my old account back for the old times sake where i actually started playing world of Warcraft.

is it possible they will unban it if i appeal? i mean it is useless that account is banned anyway i just want it for nostalgic reasons i also have my legendary mists of Pandaria back.

Once a ban like that is done they wont change it or go back on it … you could try a tix or something but the odds of it getting lifted may be 0

I mean, it’s worth a shot asking.

Just be prepared if they do say no.

Depends on your level of offense last I heard. I think the first time is a 6 month ban, then 2nd is a 1 year ban, then 3rd is a perma-ban. I’m probably wrong, but /shrug.

i played since the beginning of WOTLK i almost killed myself when my account got banned. :sob: i have all my memories on that account. i opened a ticket and i told them since then i haven’t done anything bad hopefully they unban it. i mean it is really useless that the account is banned and it is clear that i haven’t cheated since then and it wont hurt to unban it.

I feel bad for you. You made a mistake. Leniency would be great. If you almost killed yourself, then I’m truly sorry.

i immediately got a permanent ban for the first time.

I swear i just used the bot for 1 hour and i felt bad straight away then i turned it off but it was on my computer and then i got banned one week later.

That doesn’t sound like something Blizzard would do unless you were part of a massive ban wave… One hour of fishing bot and a perma-ban?

Back then they did it that way. Later they learned that permabans don’t keep cheaters out, which is why they went to 6 month suspensions.

I was lol

I kept sending appeals but they wont do it. it is odd that they didn’t make it six months for the permabana ones.

Don’t waste a GM’s time asking this.

Ask Blizzard. Never hurts to ask.

  • Fishing bot? Really?

Ouch that sucks ;( I am glad you learned your lesson I got a 2 day ban once when I was still new to the game I thought it would be funny if I blew some bgs on purpose

(giving the enemy team their flag back when they got back to their base with ours)

God I freaked out and learned my lesson ever since I have be very careful not to break any rules.

But yeah I think you should get your account back if you learned your lesson.

Just try to be honest with Blizz and ask nicely tell them you regret what you did and you sincerely learned your lesson and will never do it again. Doesn’t hurt to ask. Hope you get it back =(

Then it wasn’t your first time. At least tell the truth.

First offense = 6 month ban
Second Offense = 12 month ban
Third Offense = 18 month ban

For you to get a permaban means that you were banned three times before the permaban.

MMMhmmmm. Surrre.

there’s nothing anyone on the forums could do for you even if anyone wanted too. What’s the point of this thread? submit a ticket, know you’re probably going to tell you no, and that’s it.

But you’ve already said you sent in a lot of tickets. spamming tickets won’t make them change their mind, it really just wastes time they could be spent on other users who’re having problems.

normally i’d agree, but ban appeals are like, the one thing that usually isn’t a waste of their time. Either it’s clear as day they’re full of it, or they do someone a solid after a few years and some reconsideration.

what else are they gonna respond to, johhny stuck on a quest and he doesn’t have outline mode turned on so he doesnt see what he has to loot?

They went through the appeal process 6 years ago. It was clearly denied.

and? I have a friend who was in a similar situation, appealed right after the ban and was denied, but recently appealed and a rep decided it was worth his time and unbanned him.

this is literally what customer support is for.

By the way on my battle.net account I have WOW1 and WOW3 so WOW3 is the new world of Warcraft I bought after the ban of my wow1 so now on my battle.net launcher I have wow1 and wow3. if it gets unban what will happen? will I have like two wow accounts in the same battle.net?

how’s that a waste of their time? it is literally their job to attend to the costumers of the company.

Thank you hopefully they recover my account.

Thank you i did say i will never cheat again and i have learned my lesson and i do have a new account and i got more gold in the new one that old one but i want it for old time’s sake and nostalgic reasons.

i have never ever been banned. why would i even lie ?

Ok i abused it in cataclysm but i didn’t get a ban. here i am completely honest but first time i used it in Warlords of Draenor it was really for one hour and i felt bad.

it wont hurt to have a look. i got forever ban for first time offence now times has changed and last time i opened a ticket it was when WOD was the current expansion now we are many expansions ahead and i have no advantages on that account.

i agree and also it is their job to serve blizzard costumers. Thank you for having the positive attitude.

it doesn’t hurt to go again it really isn’t a problem i am making a compelling case here first time i got a ban it was forever. they also started only giving six months ban for people doing same offence i deserve punishment.

Thank you for having my back. i can’t believe a filthy Alliance is having my back and a Vulpera horde is not. lol <3

False, first offense back in Cata got my account perma banned, never had any bans/suspensions/silences prior.
