Is it possible to combine a classic and retail account?

Hi i was just wondering if it would be possible to combine a wow classic and retail account into 1 so you only pay subscription on one account.

They already are one account?

Unless you made a new one for some reason. I’m using the same account I’ve had for 15 years. When classic dropped i just changed the drop down menu in the launcher.

I have a separate retail and classic account on 2 separate emails so wanted to see if i could merge them.

Yes. You can do exactly that. Just get a retail account. That gives you a Classic account for free. You only pay for 1 account.

There’s no such thing as a “classic account”. Blizzard doesn’t sell that product.

I think he means he made a new account when he started playing classic instead of using his old one that has his retail characters. I don’t believe there’s anyway to merge them.

There is most definitely a way to “merge” the accounts. You can do it on battlenet, basically what you do is put both accounts under one overall blizzard account and when you use the launcher it will let you chose which account you want to load up. I know this because I have two accounts just like this :slight_smile:

What you’re asking for is possible, but will cost money. And possibly a lot.

First, combine both into a single account by applying here.

As long as your name is the same on both accounts it shouldn’t be a huge issue. They will check to see if they suspect account selling. If they do find evidence of that, you could loose the account.

Once you have merged them, you will be able to transfer your Retail characters to the Classic account. Classic characters are not flagged as being able to jump.

This costs 25$ a pop, so hopefully you don’t want to move a lot of toons over.

Once you have transferred the characters you want, simply cancel your sub on the leftover account.

Not 100% sure if you can then delete the inactive subscription from the joined account, but you won’t have to pay for it.
