Is it possible to bind a toggle to the jump key, to enable/disable it?

I have nerve damage on my left hand, my thumb twitches a lot, sometimes I involuntarily hit the space key and jump, most of the time this is not an issue, but that unfortunately already caused wipes on dungeons and raids a few times.

To try and circumvent this issue I wanted to create a way to enable/disable jumping, maybe through a macro or a keybind, or something, is there any way to do so?

escape > key bindings > movement keys > jump > key 1 value (spacebar) > unbind key

that should move the secondary binding (num pad 0) into the primary

you can either leave it at that, or rebind space as the secondary when you really need it

hitting the space bar once its unbound may initiate the chat input though and most likely end up annoying you even more. you may want to find something innocuous to bind the spacebar to if it ends up doing that

i dont think theres any apis to set the key bindings so youll have to do it manually

That is not what I want, I need to be able to jump for several other activities and spend 10-15 seconds every time I need to do so is simply not the solution, at all.

yes i know but there doesnt appear to be any way to do it automatically.

is there anything wrong with unbinding space and just using the num pad 0 key (or bind something else) to jump instead

ie you can still jump, you just have to use a different key to do it

I’m fairly certain you can make a toggle jump macro to put onto your action bar and bind space bar to it. I’ve never done it but theoretically it should work. I would have tried it before posting but WoW keeps disconnecting me or refusing to load.
