During WOD, there was only 3 raids. We have defeated Azshara already. I don’t picture there being any raids in Mechagon and it doesn’t seem to me like there would be any new areas revealed this expansion. Is it possible that we are literally through with all of the existing raids in the expansion?
We typically get some big cinematic that signals the end of the expansion at the conclusion of a raid, which we didn’t get with Eternal Palace.
So no, I don’t think we’re done getting raids for BFA.
We got a cinematic at the end of Azshara.
Considering we left on a cliffhanger, with us, alongside Jaina and Lor’themar watching N’zoth be released, I don’t think it’s super unlikely that TEP is the last raid of the expansion.
Seeing as how their creativity has gone low as it can possibly be…maybe so. But I think there will be one more.
Again:
We did not get that with Palace. So unless Blizzard’s big ending for BFA was a cinematic that left everyone thinking “…is that it?”, then we still have at least one more raid that definitively ends the expansion.
Another thing to keep in mind is that with classic, I have a feeling that a lot of the resources put into classic essentially meant a lot of things that didn’t/wouldn’t happen this expansion.
WoD was ended early.
For major patches you had the following
Vanilla - 4 major with tons of mini patches in between.
BC - 4 major with quite a few mini patches in between
Wrath - 3 Major with a lot of mini patches
Cata - 3 Major with a lot of mini’s
MoP - 4 Major with a lot of mini’s
WoD - 2 Major with some mini’s
Legion - 3 Major with some mini’s
BFA - Were at 2 Major with a 3rd pending (8.3) with several mini’s
- Major is #.1, .2, .3, .4
! Mini is #.#.1, .2, .3 etc.
They would have made a much bigger deal about EP if it were the final raid of the expansion.
Also note there wasnt a AOTC mount raid yet. There has been some sort of mount for the last raid aotc since MOP if im not mistaken
Seeing as how the devs have mentioned in the past that the end of Eternal Palace would reveal the final boss of the xpac, I’m going to say no it isn’t the last raid.
Now if they would actualy let us know who that final boss is cause the end of EP was in no way decisive about who the last boss is.
WoD was cut in half. It’s not a secret or conspiracy to say they cut an entire patch worth of content involving Shattarath, Yrel and Grom.
Hell dataminers even discovered Argus was originally going to be part of WoD.
Is this happening with BFA? Possibly. Which means we have a Legion-esque scale expansion coming next. And the whole filler expansion theory was right.
