Is it possible for Hunters to have their Runes reworked?

This exactly

Hes aggressive because he cant beat a Hunter in PvP and has probably died to them in a 1v1 way too many times. It’s not about the Hunter pet being OP with him, it’s a skill issue. The guy must be new to WoW or PvP in general.

if you are so bored with how a certain class plays then play a different class.

i guess thats too aggresive for you though snowflake

Yeah your probably right

See how he responds with words like snowflakes etc, this just shows how salty the guy is.

Got a chip on your shoulder mate? Got something to get off your chest?

Probably just on the younger side.

it literally doesnt make sense though if u dont like how a class is fundamentally designed… wouldnt any NORMAL person play a different class?

No a normal person would want changes to the class they love to play so they can love the class again you weird creature.

I’ll say it again and again

  1. Arcane Shot, Serpent Sting, Immo/Explo trap, volley, Mongoose strike, and Mend pet needs to scale on Attack Power.
  2. Remove deadzone (The range between 5 and 8 yards where hunter cannot do anything.
  3. Allow traps in combat.
  4. Delete Lone Wolf and Sniper training and give us a rune to tame Faerie Dragon and give us an on use pet command to heal an ally. Give us a rune that makes Mend pet usable on Ally, change explosive shot to medicine shot or something and make it heal allies instead.
  5. Give us the 3s raptor strike standalone that was data mined.

I feel like you didn’t read what he said, it’s not damage we are wanting buffed, we are wanting to play differently than era does, right now we basically play exactly like classic which defeats the entire purpose of SoD

Even if serpent wasn’t bugged it is genuinely a terrible rune, I have no idea how anyone that has ever played classic hunter thought that was ok.
Serpent sting is maybe the worst dot in the game, making a rune that not only does not make it better but just spreads it in aoe only situations is ridiculous, shows that you either made it up in 5 seconds or you put no effort into the class, neither is a good look.

The combination of the rune design choices and five nerfs in 2 weeks points to this team having no idea how Classic hunters work.

What? This is such a weird statement.

Absolutely everyone wants changes to their favorite classes in SoD – that’s the reason why we’re here. We have literal Shaman/Lock/Rogue tanks and Mage healers. Those changes are so far beyond anything Hunters got it’s insane, yet you’re here complaining hunters want something new, too?

Can you list out every new ability Hunter got that does more than 40 damage? And don’t name passives or Kill Command.

EDIT: I can almost see you sweating looking through the list on WoWHead right now.

Ironically, the only explanation for adding Kill Command in it’s original SoD form is that they were trying to make non-cats more viable by making you desire big-hitting specials like Lightning Breath or Scorpid poison. Then, when they got the scaling wrong instead of just fixing the scaling once (and fix the bugs around the poison not consuming charges, etc), they had to ultimately just break the one reason they added KC in the first place: just not let it impact those big hitting abilities.

It’s frustrating and I hope they are getting a lot of attention right now to come up with something more interesting and engaging for BM hunters.

All the runes are just copies of passives from later expansions. Serpent Spread is from Cataclysm, but in Cataclysm we use focus instead of mana and Multishot has no CD AND we have a talent that gives Serpent Sting initial damage, so in CATACLYSM Serpent Spread adds more damage onto our spammable multishot on top of benefitting from our mastery. They just copy pasted this Cataclysm talent and called it a rune, without any regard for the design differences. It’s kind of hilarious.

Out of curiousity, what kind of dmg do hunters do if they’re not BM. By taking the best setup outside of that rune? Genuinely curious? If the dmg is still good which seems it is to an extent from a post i read here, then how do you make their ability runes ect better without taking away their dmg that is baseline? Remember this floods over into era to an extent.

Serpent sting is 1 dps. Serpent spread is at best 3 dps. Why would anyone use that rune?

They auto attack only. Their abilities do a cumulative total of 7 dps with 100% uptime. I don’t know who claimed they did anything more than that, because whoever did is straight up lying.
