Is it no longer ok to assume an in game mechanic is working as intended?

Im so glad I didn’t level tailoring first. How am I supposed to know that my cooldown being reset is a bug? If I noticed it was not on cooldown, I’d have made more. Can I not just assume that everything in a fully launched product is working as intended? What are they going to ban people for next? I killed the world boss today. Is that supposed to be do-able now, or will I be banned for killing him?

Yea these bans are absolutely ridiculous. Banning people because they didnt test overworld content enough is silly.

Roll back the items and rep. Banning people is rude.

Edit: Imagine being a new player or someone new to crafting since they did so many reworks and new people are picking it up… and getting banned for crafting.
Amazing.

Especially the length of the bans. 7 days minimum if you did it ONE time?! What?

tbh banning people who unintentionally “exploit” game mechanics is a bit much and they should focus on fixing their game.

My thoughts exactly.

I would recommend filing an appeal if this happened and you truly weren’t aware it was an exploit.

Due to wait times it may not cut the suspension but it will remove the strike from your account.

Read better.

Issuing bans in leu of hiring internal testors or releasing a finished product is sloppy.

So if know a place where an ore node instantly respawn, is it okay to abuse it and mine it non stop?

Bruh… come on

If it was an honest mistake, I would appeal it. But if they look in the log files and see you triggering the cool down, zoning into an instance, then back out to craft again only to repeat the cycle. Well you are probably better off just staying silent.

Its also the fact that now these people will be unable to play for 7 days minimum for playing the game, thinking the whole time “oh thats kind of neat that they added a reset mechanic to this”

Would make up the amount I couldn’t get because they’re floating in the air or wedge into spots impossible to get heh.

There is no way in hell your average wow gamer is going to start looking in the logs. You might, since you’re aware of it, but no, the average joe isn’t.

Use a glider or your glide ability to get on top of that

In other words; git gud

But srsly, they need to fix that as well, flying ore nodes are not okay

Bro literally list out all times when we were able to purposely able to reset a tradeskill cooldown.

The few times always have a cost, they come way later in the expansion (or expansions later on), or are time-restricted themselves.

I am not talking about the player, I am talking about Blizzard CS. They see if you were zoning in and out of instances for no reason, while using something that should have been on cooldown.

Some people missing the point here.

The point is, how do you avoid exploiting if you don’t know that it wasn’t supposed to work like this?

I mean, if its respawning, i would mine it. I dont think “hmm this must be a bug” when im playing a video game. Im nlt even sure id notice tbh bc i fly off so fast after mining/herbing lol

There has never been a crafting cool down that was reset by zoning in and out of an instance.
