It was. Garrison was at least engaging.
WoD had:
-better class design ( a benefit it inherited from the far superior MoP)
-BRF
Seriously, WoD’s replayability for me was alts and getting those alts all professioned up and through the legendary ring treadmill.
The story was garbage. Bfa dropped the ball here and there pretty badly but WoD’s gaps were so large, it was obvious before Legion was announced that someone somewhere made a sharp turn and threw out the first half of the questing.
Glad you enjoy WoD. Having stale dungeons and one apexis daily was unfun.
You’re wrong, no surprise there. WoD was better.
My god orc, if there was ever a person in need of decaf , it is you. Give it a try.

No, it’s you.
No Wod was the only expansion i was happy to leave it early.
Just you. Also 14 months of orcs… For even more orcs!.. Just varied colors
The classes were a little better… Unless you were a warlock.
Something doesn’t add up here. You started in 2017 but…experienced WOD?
???
No solo content for gear upgrades
No group content for gear upgrades
About 30-40% less raiding.
What was good again?
The only thing I can really draw as a conclusion is some people prefer an overly simple game with nothing to do, so they can just repeat what little content available on a large number of alts.
TBF if they completely scrapped Garrisons “feature” and focused those resources in other areas of the game, WoD would have been much better. Not sure if great though.
Overall I’d say BfA barely has an edge. WoD would have won by a landslide if they didn’t drop the ball after 6.2, and the whole flying thing.
Nah. The SELFIE and Twitter patch is still by far the worst point in the game’s history.
Nah, not a chance, no matter how bad BFA can possibly be with its story, class balance and such, you cannot say that WOD was better only because it got better questing zones and class balance and decent raids, the rest was bottom of the barrel.
BFA got far more content, far more stuff to do than WOD ever did, 8.1 selfie cam and 8.2 biggest patch ever made even though it was a zone we were suppose to get a launch…
To me content and stuff to do is what make a good expansion now obviously it depends if the content is fun, is BFA content fun? Nope… But its still better that “no content at all” which is why Legion is just a superior BFA and WOD isn’t better.
It’s just you. For me WoD was the only expansion I actually quit playing during. I am still playing pretty frequently in BFA, not as much as I did during the BC/Wrath era but still way more than WoD or Cata.
It’s just you
I consider wod better than bfa in many regards. Bfa is quite horrible to be honest. I probably wouldn’t rate bfa lower than cata even tho it probably deserves it.
Probably not just you, but i think WoD was way worse. I was unsubbed shortly into WoD, while I’ve been subbed the whole time in bfa.
I only played at the beginning of WoD so I can’t attest to the lack of content as the expansions went on, but overall I preferred WoD for its gameplay and lack of systems. BFA just has too much going on with gearing, essences, azerite traits, etc. I also miss the days where dungeons were the prelude to raiding.
Were those the days that dungeons became quickly outgeared, and useless for most of the expansion?
I can’t believe they went a route that made their work on creating the dungeons useful for more than a few weeks.
