Walks into War Within wearing item level 500ish. 1st rewards 408~ item level gear around the starting isle.
if you go from DF to TWW with only leveling gear you’re like 360-380, so it makes sense, first rewards are usually below last tier levels
You mean like every other expansion???
Just to make sure almost everybody can jump right in from questing gear from 1-70
I got a full set of 480+ in just a couple hours last week, so the fact that nothing I’ve seen so far comes close to that is disappointing, to say the least.
yeah I noticed that too
there’s usually something like that every expansion but by say two level ups you’re already replacing gear with quest gear
now I’m level 78 and just now starting to replace some gear
it’s definitely too low
If you come from an a geared character to new expansion yeah it seems low. but if you freshed leveled a toon and jumped in it is probably right.
It picks up pretty quickly. I started getting 522 , at 75 from a delve, and that is only T3. Quest gear is going to be low ilvl, and it allows players who did end game in DF to coast some levels on their hard earned gear.
If you are leaving DF with a full BiS toon, it make sense if TWW initial questing/low level dg Item level be lower than yours.
But now since DragonFlight is the new leveling xpack, fresh level 70 toons with DF greenies/blues will make a good use of these TWW items.
Gonna be fun at the end of this x-pack when Blizzard has to do another stat squish and people freak the f out.
should have been before that unless you were full myth track gear
they already announced it unfortunately
Well I have a series of replies to you.
I agree, if they are going to increase the difficulty of the individual mobs , they should increase the drop item level , Harumph! but you are able to purchase level 515 gear on the AH for a pittance, if your alts need gear.
I saw 515 plate breastplates selling for 200g this morning .
Not really unfortunate. The numbers are already dumb right now. Could see this coming from Dragonflight.
nah, i hate squishes, big numbers = fun, squish = they always break something that takes them ages to fix
at the end of the day the numbers themselves really mean nothing anyway, sure that also means squishing doesn’t mean anything, but like i said, big numbers = fun
Because we’re all geared in Heroic raid gear from season 4.
Because it’s tuned for fresh 70s in 380ish gear.
I noticed this too and it felt kind of bad leveling up. People saying “its always been this way” are either pretty new or aren’t remembering correctly. You used to be able to replace your gear from the previous expansions with questing greens fairly quickly. This time I didn’t replace my gear until level 78 and above. I get a level or two but to keep your gear from the previous expansion nearly the entire time? Something is off.
Nah. Once you start doing multiple millions of damage on abilities (which we’re going to hit this expansion), nothing past the first four numbers matters anyway. So make it easy on the backend of the system, and just squish that down.
Just care about getting loot and killing bosses. The size of the numbers above the heads don’t matter, just how long it takes to kill them.
no thank you, i like my big numbers
