Is it just stormrage or did people quit world content?

Almost no one does soup anymore, I arrived and (on stormrage, most populated alliance server) no one was there except me so I left (which probably happens each time someone goes and sees…no one there)

I go to shaping the dreambarge and barely anyone there

I go to fyrakk assault…and not a single person there

I know the “endgame” is mythic stuff. But never seen world content so dead in WoW in a long time. If I wanted to do mythics only and not anything else and not see the world of WoW, I’d just play Destiny 2 tbh or any number of better group focused item progression games. Even lost ark would be better for that and that game is kinda a meme

Dont mind mythic or anything…which leads me to…

even on stormrage, barely anyone doing pvp, and the mythic scene seems to be very much dying out recently for the lower tier mythics (high tiers havent dropped off much from what I noticed)

Maybe its just stormrage though, maybe I didn’t get the memo and everyone left to moonguard or switched to horde onto area 52 lol

The player base is split between retail, multiple versions of classic, then there’s player dilution due to the ever expanding world.

But Blizzard does not want to reduce the amount of servers.

So the game feels dead. Even if the server is full.

Then players log, don’t see other players, and go play a different game.

The cycle repeats, over and over until it’s dead for real.

Then new expansion comes out.

Soup Event isn’t Awakened this week. The Zarelek caverns are, and next week the dream will be active. The week after that the soup event will be required for the weekly.

Not the reason why in this case. 2 weeks from now the Soup Event will be jam packed because Waking Shores, Ohnarin Plains, Azure Span, and Thaldrassus will be Awakened again.

This week Zaralek Caverns are the Awakened zone, not the OG 4 so the Zaralek Events are full of people constantly.

Next week it’s the Emerald Dream zone and its events.

The zones cycle through which one is Season 4 content each week until week 7 when all of them are treated as Awakened.

Also Stormrage is FULL

It’s because it’s not an Awakened week. That’s the only reason.

Nor do I want my servers reduced. I actually do have a community on my server.

I don’t base my gameplay on how many people I see around me.

Soup was last week. There were so many people it always hit legendary 5 status. It doesn’t award squat worth anything this week so nobody is doing it. It’ll come back around.

I did soup last week for the extra awakened rep and there were people there every time.
And by people I mean a sea of name tags.

There’s no reason to do the weekly quest this week because you can just get that spark in raid/dungeons next week.

Next week there will probably be more people doing things since they can get their full spark to craft something.

Flavor Pockets! I’ve already had to replace two. :dracthyr_cry_animated:

Sharding means that you aren’t seeing Azure Span with everybody on Stormrage, you’re only there in a shard with a small fraction of people.

So even after considering that Feast isn’t as popular this week because it’s no longer Awakened, you’re also cut off from most of the server’s population for performance related reasons.

See, I dont even know what awakened is or why its so important except it must buff up items or something

I barely read wowhead, most of my time if I want WoW news is these forums and these forums are terrible for WoW news, its just mostly trolls and ragebaits lol. I like to know the future expansion updates. I never read patch notes, and unless it pops up in the game “awakened week! GO HERE!” I wont ever know about it :frowning:

well now I know where to go at least

Oh and I do know DH is the class to be according to the forums, if everyone hates it because how strong it is, probably what to roll lol

The WoW website has its own news page. The stuff that Wowhead then reports. Click the WoW symbol at the top of the forums.

see I dont read that either though. Literally just the forums and whatever I discover in the game.

And I like to read wowhead for future expansions but not current content

So if its literally not in the game or someone posts about it, just wont ever know unless I discover it for myself lol

If I read everything about each patch, I’d probably not play WoW after all the nerfs and balances and it ruins the discovery for me. I cant be mad if my blood DK has been super nerfed (or DH now) if I dont know about it lol

I was just giving you an option to be informed if you wish. All good.

well like I said, if its not in the game, I just wont know about it. Or the forums since I like to see whats most OP tbh, and I find it fun to see blood elves mad that alliance got high elves and they still complain about that :stuck_out_tongue:

either way, I know where to go now from the thread so heh

Season 4 is a “Best of” season and is rotating through ALL of Dragonflight’s content. This is why the Awakened raid changes each week (until week 7 when all are Awakened at the same time).

10.0’s content was Awakened last week. 10.1’s content is Awakened this week, and next week 10.2’s content will be Awakened.

WoWhead’s home page has alot of useful information at the header, usually timers for events etc as well as relevant Season 4 guides pinned at the top.

heh, yeah but I come from the days of ultima online and everquest where there was no info and it was fun discovering it all for yourself (unless it was in the game by the devs). I’m sure there were obscure sites with info that people put up for fans, I think those were around, but mostly people discovered stuff from what the devs put in the game. Though people did share OP builds or what was overbalanced and stuff in both games.

I played lost ark, and quit because I spent 99% of the time reading about the game instead of playing it and I knew what every single best thing was in the game and I played it like I was on a train. And even if I still did that, none of the info was in the game, so 99% of the time was spent outside the game lol

But now that i posted this, I did get good info about awakened stuff. And where to go like I said

My guess is you are sharded, I have characters in full pop servers one of them is Moon Gaurd and I was sharded out from being around players killing stuff to no one being around in the Fyrakk assault area.

The most annoying part was I was sharded from 74% summoning progression to no progression by myself in the area.

Also, blizzard has a statistic somewhere

Like vast majority of people who play WoW dont even use the forums, wowhead or any media. They just log on and play. I’m a bit outside that, only difference is except I use the forums and discord with my guild (but they dont really share much news about where to go or whats going on) lol. I’m actually pretty happy being the statistic where I only use the forum but barely anything else

(though to the post above)

This is probably it. A couple posts said something about sharding. Literally everywhere I go no ones around, so I must be in a junky shard

As discussed in earlier posts. 10.0 content is not currently Awakened (meaning it provides Season 4 stuff), this week 10.1 content is.

Moonguard and other RP servers have a different sharding system and other servers.

And the meta is to simply only go to where the forgemaster spawns to get your 3 keys for your weekly objective so not many people are focused on spawning Fyrakk’s Lt.
